Theme Nights, Horse Races on Millie?

Theme nights consist of a party in one of the lounges or on deck after the late seating. Some of the theme parties we have encountered consisted of:

50's sock hop, island night, Irish Pub, Spanish tapas, Tex-Mex, Mojito night with salsa dancing, etc. The only time when I have seen people dress up is for Halloween or change into island outfits after dinner for island night (chance to wear those shirts or sarongs that you bought in the islands).

The horse races are a thing of the past. I haven't seen one listed in years on Celebrity.

Hajekfam....I appreciate your taking the time to reply.....However, we actually enjoy wearing poodle skirts 50's night, western attire Country/Western night and something green to the Irish Pub.

Wonder if anyone who has cruised on the Millennium since she returned to the Caribbean in December could tell me which themes they are using at present.

Thanks again!

Hi, I sailed Millennium on Dec 17th.

I don't remember seeing any horse races. Actually I don't

remember seeing them on any of my Celebrity cruises.

There was a Caribbean night up on the

pool deck. It was not a theme for the evening but a big deck

party. Music, food, dancing. It was during the midnight hour.

I might have read something about a sock hop but cannot

give you any information since I didn't attend. I think it

was located in Cosmos (the disco). It was also not a theme

for the evening but a late night party. (If memory serves).

There was not a Country/Western theme, nor an Irish one.

I don't recall any "theme nights" on my cruises, but more

of a party with that name~Caribbean Deck Pool Party.

You will definitely be in the minority wearing any sort of costume on Celebrity ships. We were the only ones on the entire ship who wore our poodle skirts this past November on our cruise. We won't bother packing them again for another cruise. No one dressed up for Caribbean night either. With all the packing hassles and weight restrictions on airlines, no one seems to bother anymore with packing costumes.
