Diamond Embarkation and Disembarkation

Here is a question for those of you Diamond and D+ C&A members. I was told by C&A that Diamond and D+ memebrs wait for disembarkation in a private lounger with juice, coffee, tea, danish, doughnuts etc. When the ship is cleared by customs, I was told C&A Representative will lead us all off the ship as a group early and we will not have to wait for color tags to be called.

How many of you have experienced this on RCCL? I mean it sounds good and I hope it is true for my upcoming cruise on Enchantment!

Please advise.

EMBARKATION: A very large sign that read DIAMOND, DIAMOND PLUS, SUITES and you get in that area which usually has no line since we all have the Set Sail Pass printed out so we give passports, Set Sail Pass & credit card to the clerk, she gives us our Sea Pass card & we are up to the picture taker then onto the ship.

DISEMBARKATION:Last morning at about 6AM we head down to the stated meeting area in a letter the night before. There they have coffee, danish, juice and by 6:30AM we are called to pass thru immigration then down to get luggage & either to cabs or onto the bus to the airport.

We're D+ and have gone to the assigned meeting area for D/D+ and are called according to luggage tag colors.....we have never been escorted off by RCI rep. The color tags that you receive represent the time of your flight that you provided to Guest Relations about 4 days prior to debarkation. You can always request earlier colored tags from Guest Relations if you want to be off earlier.

You can elect to do Express debarkation, but that means that you and your luggage walk off the ship together. This is something that you must request asap from Guest Relations after embarking the ship.

No one is allowed off until the ship is cleared by customs and immigration......and this could take some time. Each ship and debarkation port is different. What happens in Ft. Lauderdale might not be the case in Miami or San Pedro or even San Juan.

Above comments correct, BUT will add some comments.

1. There is a private debarkation lounge for Diamond and Diamond+

2. They do call the lounge FIRST before announcing to the public lounges that the ship has been cleared and start announcing the color tag for your particular time to get off the ship.

3. Now, if you choose to get off 1st from the debarkation lounge and you don't have the white colored tags, your luggage will not be waiting for you.

Again, no priority on the luggage as you are assigned based on your debarkation info you turned in, i.e. time flights, cab, etc.

Been off the ship many times right off the bat, luggage right there, white tags, have early flight and head on home. But again, luggage tags make the difference.

On Sovereign you had to tell the LA if you were going to do priority embarkation, then you were given the appropriate luggage tag color. So we waited in the conference room with the coffee/pastries and she she walked us off at 7:35 (after self-assist) our luggage was waiting for us. On Vision we just waited on the upper level of the dining room with the coffee/pastries and left when our color tag was called. We were Platinum and never saw a letter or instructions on priority disembarkation for our level (didn't matter anyway)

Just off the Serenade on Saturday.

We were given a small area of the main dining room. There was coffee etc. The LA came in and escorted everyone off the ship. We were first off and colours didn't count. We found it very helpful as we were first in that huge room looking for our luggage. As there was no one else there, it was easy to find ours, go through customs and get a cab and be on our way. (This was San Juan).

We had the same experience when leaving the Radiance on December 31.
