bgarbus Posted May 13, 2010 #1801 Share Posted May 13, 2010 treadmills and weights-- cant you go down one deck? Actually cabin 1005 is right under where the photographer is standing - That spot should be quiet. I think we will book it. I like the location... That is, if we don't go with a JS... We are waiting for the prices to be posted in the next day or two... Thanks for all the help - I couldn't find a photo anywhere...
peisahm Posted May 13, 2010 #1802 Share Posted May 13, 2010 I am a little concerned about soot and view in our aft balcony. I have read some bad things about the aft balconies on deck 7 on Liberty. Anyone have any pictures or reviews?
serene56 Posted May 13, 2010 #1803 Share Posted May 13, 2010 I am a little concerned about soot and view in our aft balcony. I have read some bad things about the aft balconies on deck 7 on Liberty. Anyone have any pictures or reviews? most people dont have problems. Most people will only review stuff when its bad--so take that into consideration. We had afts many time and not had any problems-- but we also wipe things down before we use it and never store stuff out there. There is a metal structure out there that bothers people- It didnt bother us and am grateful that I knew of it before hand because if not it would have been VERY shocking. ivielane2 Posted May 13, 2010 #1804 Share Posted May 13, 2010 Does anyone have any input on these cabins? I see they are right next to the window washing machine. Am a little afraid there might be a view obstruction. Thank you for any help.
Desicruiser55 Posted May 14, 2010 #1805 Share Posted May 14, 2010 We are booked in an interior state room Riviera deck Carnival Liberty - 1459. Towards the very end. Outside of the long walks to the elevators are there any other problems that I should be aware of Thanks

Outside of the long walks to the elevators are there any other problems that I should be aware of Thanks Lets see... Forward, you will hear the waves hitting the front of the ship, especially at night. Near the Back you will feel vibrations from the propellers. I have been on this deck and had friends at both ends of the ship and they said they got used to the noise. If the seas are calm you may hear nothing at all... Happy sailing!!! But I agree with the other poster that you are that close to the sounds of the bottom of the ship- expect some vibration/shuddering especially when leaving or entering the ports. If arrival is early that shuddering will be your alarm. It doesnt last long.
rene194215 Posted May 14, 2010 #1808 Share Posted May 14, 2010 Ok so I am one of those people that gets something in her head and has to do it!! So I booked cabin R26 on Sensation..... good/bad??? I did book R26 on the Sensation but since, my mom has decided to go with me. I know this cabin is right at the front of the ship and I know I will be ok, but my mom has never cruised before. She is afraid of being seasick so I am not sure if I should change. Advice?
CanWeGoYet? Posted May 14, 2010 #1809 Share Posted May 14, 2010 I probably would, you have time yet & should be many other open cabins. I wouldn't wait until later when cabins start booking up.

Advice? is this for your September cruise??? Being low is good---being that far forward, especially during huricane season is NOT a good idea. Traveller20074 Posted May 18, 2010 #1812 Share Posted May 18, 2010 Rooms Not To Book - NORWEIGAN PEARL: 11524, Penthouse AB - Directly under the free weights and weight machine in the gym. Absolutely disturbing - and until NCL decides to curb the gym's 24 hour operation, they will definitely get more complaints. We also had mini suite 11526 for our daughters, which also heard the noise, but not quite as loud as the master bedroom. Our friends were in 11522 and 11520 and they were also disrupted (these are mini suites). It took NCL Pearl staff 4 days to close the gym at 10pm. Ridiculous. Well, now that we're back......I think I heard weights a few times, but it wasn't bad......we were in 11526. I'm very GLAD I didn't hear them very much. that would have been annoying. Where are laundry room? Service or steward station? Is there a site with more detailed deck plans? Thanks.

Thanks. you are under the pool area-- will you get sliding chair noises. i dont know a site with more detail then what you see online- not when it comes to looking for service stations-- yougotta rely heavily on the people here who might have had a cabin in that area. That is a lot of white area. ands it all through out the ship- its problably the area the crew uses to get from deck to deck. Royal Caribbean does NOThave laundry rooms
CruiserMom Posted May 21, 2010 #1816 Share Posted May 21, 2010 you are under the pool area-- will you get sliding chair noises. Thanks for your quick reply. I had looked up H20 Zone & thought it was a small specialty pool area that becomes a garden at night. I didn't realize it was a regular pool. We're booked 3rd week in Sept & I was hoping the kids would be back in school. Should we change locations? We won't like early morning sliding chairs. (not sure if I did the quote correctly; 1st time trying)

webgal318 Posted May 24, 2010 #1818 Share Posted May 24, 2010 Check with your cruise agent to confirm that your cabin is under the pool. If that is the case, I would try to change rooms. I had a JS on the Grandeur and my agent put me in a room that was not right under the pool.

NCTribeFan Posted May 31, 2010 #1822 Share Posted May 31, 2010 Just off Fantasy, in E93 - great location. Just around the corner from the main lobby. Very little movement, for those concerned with motion, but we had pretty smooth sailing. At least I thought we did. A Roll Call member said on our way back to the hotel yesterday that she got sick leaving Half Moon Cay. I never noticed a thing. She was also on Empress, but had a forward cabin. The only thing I noticed was that I could hear the stupid music from the lobby bar (which was the typical off-key, overly loud singing) when I was in the cabin and didn't have the TV on. Not late at night, though, so really not a big deal. Would recommend this location on the Fantasy-class ships.
triviafan22 Posted June 1, 2010 #1823 Share Posted June 1, 2010 Although the cabin attendant was a sweetheart, Star Princess cabin C537 was very noisy. There was some sort of machinery making a constant roar, which sometimes increased in intensity to the point where I had to put in earplugs in order to sleep. One advantage though, it drowned out any other noise, so we didn't hear doors slamming or people talking!
bluwes Posted June 2, 2010 #1824 Share Posted June 2, 2010 Does anyone have any info on cabin #7235. Carnival Dream You appear to have a very nice ocean suite, far enough away from the elevators and the Atrium to get any noise. You also have cabins above and below you. So no chance of any noise from dragging chairs, sun loungers etc. The size is great, you have an extra 90 sq ft above a normal balcony cabin. We have had one of these suites on our recent Valor cruise and we have booked a similar cabin on the Magic next year
bakdor51 Posted June 5, 2010 #1825 Share Posted June 5, 2010 I just sailed on the Carnival Spirit Alaska cruise, my 1st one, and was down on the Riviera deck 1 on one of the inside cabins close to the front. I was close to that front lounge and theater. while I could hear noise from them at times, It wasn't during the wee hours of the morning. One night I heard some banging of furniture somehere close, but couldn't figure out where it was from. There was a public deck, Casino, lounge, shops etc, 2 decks above me, but this sounded a lot closer. I looked at my deck plan and found theres quite a bit of dead space in the middle between the inside cabins. I wonder if that space is used for storage, and they were moving funiture or supplies. It didn't last very long. Had it gone on too long, I would have complained. Otherwise I enjoyed my cruise, and plan another one some day Bakdor I was on the Liberty last year cabin 8434 Veranda deck. Right below pizzaria and Versailles pool and bar aft. The deck cleaning with chair and table banging and scraping was so loud I thought the ceiling was going to fall in.This started at midnight and lasted until 3:30am. And I am a heavy sleeper. I got dressed and went down to file a complaint at 5am. They said that this would be checked into. I asked to be moved but was a full ship. Next day I got an apology letter, then a phone call the next day. The last day another letter stating that they will credit my sign and sail acct. 400.00 per person. That was very nice. Was it because I complained LOUDLY, or maybe because there was a group of hundreds of travel agents on board and didn't know if I was one and could give Carnival a bad name to future guests.
