tuggers Posted March 5, 2007 Author #101 Share Posted March 5, 2007 OK, here's a hint to finding me: I'm a redhead, too! If you face the Captain's Table (late seating) I am at the table to the right. I thought I saw a question on here while I was sailing about my reference to 'my' table. implying that no one always has the same table. I do. That's why they call it 'Gail's Table'. Okay, I may have made that very last part up, but they do always put me there because they know I like it!!
joramrose Posted March 5, 2007 #102 Share Posted March 5, 2007 They put her there because she has threatened to hurt them if they don't. I gotta tell ya, Gail carries a lot of weight on that ship, and I am not making an unkind remark!! We could all learn something about cruising from Gail. She genuinely likes the crew and staff and they know it and they like her. A little kindness, a little consideration, a little thoughtfulness go a long way to making a better cruise. love JoAn

KyCatCruiser Posted March 6, 2007 #106 Share Posted March 6, 2007 Tuggers. We're going to be sailing on the Zenith on the 12th. We love the ship and her crew. Can you tell me if Madeline is still at the Martini Bar? We have had more than a half dozen cruises with her and she makes the best martinis on the sea. Also, we loved Andre the wine steward. He said he was going to leave the last time we sailed. Do you know if he happened to stay?
tuggers Posted March 6, 2007 Author #107 Share Posted March 6, 2007 Sad to say, Madelyn has been gone for a while (along with her husband). I have losts of pics of Madelyn. She was always a favorite of mine. As I have not seen either one of them I wonder if they gave up the life or changed lines. Martini Bar is now the baliwack of Roland and his Tom-Cruise-Cocktail-performing sidekick. You'll like them. I did not see Andre and really, they have cut down so much on the Wine Stewards, I think I saw them all!
CajunLiner Posted March 6, 2007 #108 Share Posted March 6, 2007 Gail & Joan, Glad to see you had a great time on your cruise. Do have a question for Gail: (This may sound a little ignorant, though!) Do you bring your laptop off the ship with you and find a spot where you get wireless? Or are there places close to the ship within the range of your laptop? We are cruising at the end of this month and we are again leaving during an important family time. Remember Yolanda? Well she's all grown up and married and having a baby to boot. My sister (Yolanda's mom) is coming home soon, too. I want to be able to keep in touch and to be able to receive any pictures from home covering these events. I know how slow the ship internet is, and don't want to use my entire package receiving one email!!!! And Gail, Justin's been a little shy to post lately.......he thinks you're still mad at him!!! I guess we need to get your itinerary before we book our next cruise! Or you could just do the December TA with us!!! That goes for you, too, Joan! brigittetom Posted March 6, 2007 #110 Share Posted March 6, 2007 Tuggers, Journaler........a good thing. Celebrity should keep you cruiseing for free to keep us entertained. I felt as if I was on a cruise reading your "Journaler". Sea-cruise.....the gold toothpick didn't tip you off?? On our last cruise I met a couple while browsing the shops before late seating. She explained to me how she has never gained an ounce since collage, he explained to me how they lived a lifestyle exactly as if they were on a cruise. Woohoo, I was glad to meet up with my husband to get ready for dinner and an eveining in the Casino.

CajunLiner Posted March 7, 2007 #116 Share Posted March 7, 2007 Joan, thanks for the well wishes. As of this writing, still no baby. Last I heard, they had sedated her so she could sleep. Seems she is not progressing well, and they want her to rest in case she needs to be sectioned. Glad you had a great cruise! And maybe one day Yolanda will bring Rosalinda sailing-or maybe I will!! brigittetom Posted March 7, 2007 #117 Share Posted March 7, 2007 My best wishes for Yolanda also. :) sea-cruise, That couple grabbed onto me everytime they saw me around the ship and I was stuck listening to every aspect of their wonderful life. One night I was having hor douvres (I'm like Tuggers, I can't spell it either) sushi by myself and he was there by himself so he sat with me and told me what an important person his son was. Gees. To top it all off, I leave my makeup on overnight on cruises so when I get up in the morning I just redo the face and leave the eyes. I put on sunglasses and leave them on until I get ready for dinner. On the last night I ran into them after I had gotten ready for dinner. He said "Oh, you are actually very attractive". So apparently they liked to hang out with me because they thought I made them look good. You know the theory of standing next to a 300 pounder because it makes you feel so thin. :D

evielind Posted March 8, 2007 #125 Share Posted March 8, 2007 Hi Gail, I read all your pages last night on your last cruise on Zenith. It sounds like you are an expert on the Zenith. My husband and will be sailing on the Zenith's final cruise on April 13th. It will be on first on Zenith but our 10th on Celebrity. Have you ever been on a ship with the band Onyx? We were hoping they might do some special things for the final cruise and maybe they would be on the ship. I got some info from your log it soulds like they are starting to make upgrades already. My hunband was a little concerned they wouldn't make repairs if somehing broke knowing the ship was gone. If you have any advise for us we would appreciate it. Look forward to meeting you on this cruise I think we are signed up on CC but I'll check to make sure. Evelyn & Morgan from the mountains of NC ps how many cruise have you been on with Celebrity?:o
