Magicat Posted May 21, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2007 We were on the Adventure on 29 April and purchased a champagne card at, where else, the Champagne Bar. For $43.00 plus tip, you received 10 champagne cocktails from a selection of 8 or so. We are wondering if any other ship offer this deal?

6MonthsHere6MonthsThere Posted May 21, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 21, 2007 Certainly NOT available on the NAVIGATOR last month on the Transatlantic, Got a feeling from the Champagne bar attendant that they were trying to do away with it fleetwide:eek: (think the bartenders don't like it as their 15% per drink reduces:rolleyes: )

SPARKLE10 Posted May 21, 2007 #10 Share Posted May 21, 2007 Hi: We were on the Freedom of the Seas for their New Years Eve Cruise, and I asked in the Champagne Bar and was told that they no longer have them, it's a thing of the past. Freedom being a new ship and it was their first New Years Eve cruise, I would have thought they would have had champagne cards. We were greeted with a free glass of champagne as we came onboard the ship. Out of all my RCCL cruises (14) and several of them have been New Years Eve cruises, this was the first time that we were greeted with a glass when we came onboard. I drank two as my DH doesn't like champagne. I was disappointed that they didn't have the card though. Happy Cruising....Sparkle 10 (Anita):)

Magicat Posted May 23, 2007 Author #12 Share Posted May 23, 2007 Foolishme: If you plan on eating at Portofino's go there first thing. We booked our reservation just after noon when we boarded and then heard that they were pretty much booked by 2:00 pm. Also don't touch the guy's finger on the promenade by the stairs to the Casino. Sit at the Duck and Dog for a beer and just watch. You wouldn't believe what people do to that poor finger of his. LOL
silky_mommy Posted May 24, 2007 #13 Share Posted May 24, 2007 I will be on AOS in August .... What other type of drink cards can I get? Not interested in the soda card:D
Tex_Jen Posted May 24, 2007 #14 Share Posted May 24, 2007 Was on AOS back in February, the bartenders said RCI was going to update the liquor in the Champagne cocktails and do away with the card. Glad to see that it was still there in April. Hope it stays for next April. :D BTW, the bartenders at the Champagne bar seem to be some of the friendliest on the ship. Silky...no other drink cards except for champagne cocktails and soda cards. Jen
jules815 Posted May 24, 2007 #15 Share Posted May 24, 2007 Hey Jules, I will race you to the Champagne Bar on the 17th. They'll probably have a lot of us asking on our week. :D

GarrenS Posted May 24, 2007 #17 Share Posted May 24, 2007 FYI - We have been on Mariner twice in the last few months - no champagne card there, nor do they have any idea what you are talking about when you ask. We were on Adventure last Oct and they had them there. Must be a ship by ship thing only.
