dirtgirl Posted June 9, 2007 #28 Share Posted June 9, 2007 There is a formal night on the 3 nighter on the Saturday night. MissKise, try this. If it doesn't work, maybe you don't have the right Adobe Reader version. It opens fine with version 7.0. http://www.tulpule.com/contents/pdfs/cruise-reviews/Monarch+Review+May+21+and+25.pdf

Thanks for your great review! Yes there is a formal night on Saturday (the second day of the 3-day cruise) as well :)

critterchick Posted June 9, 2007 #32 Share Posted June 9, 2007 Formal night on the Monarch is very nice - the Captain has a Welcome Aboard party with cocktails & hors d'ouevres, music for dancing and then an introduction of the senior staff. I don't know when Captain Teo goes on his leave, but if you have him, he's quite the standup comedian!

Tahoestarr: I am happy to tell you that a chocolate martini bears no resemblance to a martini! Here's a secret: Even better than a chocolate martini is a CHOCOLATE MINT martini. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM :D OK, I will confess that I didn't really like the chocolate martini. As an alcoholic milkshake, it was awesome. But I like the way Princess does it ( ) - they drizzle the glass with chocolate & then pour a real martini into it, so it just has an essence of chocolate. Mind you, I had no problem sucking down one of the RCI concoctions, but it wasn't quite what I had in mind...
