Murphy Posted June 20, 2007 #76 Share Posted June 20, 2007 We're in 9078 in February. Can you tell us anything about it? Do you hear noise from the Concierge Lounge above? Thanks! I actually have only stayed in 9092, but our friends were in 9078. There weren't any complaints about anything! The balcony is huge. For some reason, however, 9092 had 2 chairs, 2 loungers and a table, but 9078 only had the chairs and table. The balcony is pretty much completely covered, so you only get sun in the late afternoon, but it was plenty of sun for us. ENJOY!

cruisenfever Posted June 20, 2007 Author #78 Share Posted June 20, 2007 I'm hoping the best itinerary is the one I'm sailing with you! :D The 14 night Ultimate Alaska. Well, aren't you sweet. You're just looking forward to teaching me how to spend that OBC that I never seem to be able to spend!;)
sanspike Posted June 20, 2007 #79 Share Posted June 20, 2007 Patti Great idea. We also love Radiance. We have done both Alaska and Hawaii on this ship. It is hard to go anywhere else afterwards. We have had two different crews and captains and they were both good, but Captain Hurdy Gurdy is the best. It is a great ship for anyone in a wheelchair. The most accessible ship I have sailed on. We stayed in 9092 ... hand-picked. We are in 9078 for the NUTS ReUnion cruise in 9/08 (again, hand-picked). I asked for loungers for 9092 (only a small table and 2 chairs were there last week). The loungers come and go. I requested a lounger be brought in and I was was told (by our cabin steward), "No, I can't bring you one. But if you bring one up, I won't see it." ;) We never did bring one up ... Alaska was a tad cold for lounging ... we were usually bundled up but spent tons of time on the balcony! I've got some great pix of 9092 if anyone is interested ... http://community.webshots.com/user/Dinnybennett The Radiance is WONDERFUL! And, it boasts THE BEST CD STAFF on the 7-seas! ~d

Mabers Posted June 20, 2007 #93 Share Posted June 20, 2007 Srenter and Mabers: Me and my husband will also be on the Feb 10th sailing of the Radiance. This is our frist RCCL cruise and we are going to celebrate both me and my husband turning 40!! I am actually getting on the boat on my birthday. What a great gift:) Which dining time did you guys request? We requested late but have never done late dining and are not sure if we should change to early. What are your thoughts? I prefer early, but my DS and his wife are coming with me, and they prefer late. It depends on what time you get back to the ship from land trips, I think, and this cruise is port intensive, so you may prefer late. M.

Shebbieal Posted June 20, 2007 #95 Share Posted June 20, 2007 I am gonna comment on the Radiance from a different perspective. I am in a power wheelchair. The Radiance (and sister ships) are the most handicapped accessible ships we have ever been on (over 20 cruises). There are handicapped bathrooms on almost every floor (they are very very large). There is a lift in the pool, in a hottub, and even a lowered blackjack table. The casino is easy to navigate thru. The handicapped cabins are spacious and comfy and very user friendly. You swipe your door key and the door opens automatically. VERY conveinent!!! We LOVE the Radiance, we are also on the CocoNUTS reunion cruise to Hawaii Sep 2008. We had sooo much fun the first time!! medfordgirl Posted June 20, 2007 #99 Share Posted June 20, 2007 We were invited to a party in 1060....Great suite and HUGE deck...We had 7676 aft balcony and loved it! that's the cabin I will be in, I am excited about it. cruisenfever Posted June 20, 2007 Author #100 Share Posted June 20, 2007 that's the cabin I will be in, I am excited about it. Did you happen to notice if the shower had a door or a curtain? Mimi, if you're out there, you would know. It has the tub with shower curtain, just like the JS cabins, but you do not have to fight with it like in a D1. That GS is the most sought after cabin because of the balcony.............. Congratulations and enjoy!
