We absolutely love sea days. We usually get an early breakfast and have our butts planted in chairs by 9am. Love hearing the music, watching the games, and enjoying a nice cold beverage while the day slowly passes by. Later on we venture over to the hot tub for more relaxing, cold beverages, and good conversation.

Sleep late but not too late, breakfast, get a seat by the pool and plant myself.... Then an afternoon massage, back to the pool and then the hottub and then dinner......... ah, I can feel the sensation now....:D

I thinking that my best day at sea will be getting up early to enjoy a nice breakfast then head to pool area with a book. Just relax and take in the views. I guess watching the hairy chest contest will be fun too

I like to sleep a little late on sea days, wander up to eat some breakfast, then take a stroll around the deck before I set my sights on my lounge chair for the afternoon, with my favorite beverage besides me of course.:o

We love those 'sea days' also. Last year we did NCL to Hawaii, where there simply are NO seas days. It's always rush, rush and more rush. This year we are sailing the fantasy for two consecutive cruises, just to get those 'sea days'. We really aren't sun people, so we also, enjoy a great breakfast, and find some lounge chair in the shade somewhere by a rail, and just sit and talk, and watch the ocean go by. We get up, walk a bit, explore a bit, but always head back to those chairs. There is just nothing more relaxing than sitting, watching the ocean, with a nice cool drink, and just nothing to do, or worry about. Three weeks and we can't wait.

I love my sea days :)

I get up a little later, have a nice big breakfast at the Lido. Then I just go where the day takes me . I stroll around the ship, people watch, if there is an activity that strikes my fancy, I will go to it, otherwise I just plant myself on a deck chair.

Enjoying several adult beverages throughout the day while doing whatever it is I choose to do. :)

My Sea Day is just like most have said, Get up late, eat breakfast and explore the ship a bit to find something to my liking. Then its out on the Lido Deck to find a lounge chair by the railing and watch the ocean waves. Then its naptime! Then its Drink of the Day! Then its time for the Hot Tub and mingle with new friends. How about another Drink of the Day! Then its time to play BINGO and finally back to the cabin to Chill before dinner. I can already see it now. Only 53 more days and then I can live this out. Woo Hoooo!

Love sea days... croissant and fruit from room service... go out on deck to take sunrise pics... work out... go for a swim... have a real breakfast on Lido Deck... relax on the balcony... have lunch... wander around the ship... who needs an island? Well, give me Virgin Gorda, but otherwise, I'm cool...

Coffee on the balcony, eventually breakfast....a nice stroll round the ship, taking pictures, enjoying cocktail after cocktail, funky massage, hang at the pool bar, back on the balcony, nap, balcony taking pics of the sunset while getting ready for dinner and to party the night away, no rush and no worries! As mentioned, sleep late,, checking out the ship. Then on to what's going on on the Lido desk, then sit out on the balcony for quiet time and enjoying the beauty of the ocean and it's place on earth, then an afternoon nap and off to dinner and the shows.

Just wondering what the perfect fun day at sea is for everyone. Any special activities that are memorable to you? Would love to hear some suggestions on how to spend the day sailing in the sun.

Depends on the Capers ... I love doing all the quirky things they offer on sea days!

We sleep late, grab a late breakfast, chill on the balcony for a while, enjoy trivia, and a relaxing massage. Enjoy a leisurely lunch while watching the ocean go by, a nice cool drink, then some nautical nookie, :p a relaxing dinner, then hopefully winning in the casino a little later on, ended perfectly by some quiet time on the balcony before we go to sleep. Not necessarily all in that order:p It's a vacation, the only itenerary we stick to is the ports:D

On carnival room service coffee and fruit on the balcony. A little while later, down to the dining room for eggs benedict, then back up to hang on the wrap balcony all day. We might run up to get some fruit and lemonade during the day to make drinks with the ordered in vodka.

We long ago gave up hanging on the lido deck all day. Neither one of us find it relaxing. We,for years, went up to the topless deck. Now we just book aft wraps and enjoy the day.

We don't do any of the activities during the day. None of that interests us. But then, years ago we did all that. From the few times I've caught the pool games, none have changed in 20 yrs on carnival.

If it's a raining sea day, we make our own fun ;) and then indulge in our other fun thing to do, gambling.

Did someone say F-Deck? Oh, must have been dreaming again. Sorry!

My DW and I love to just stare off at the horizon. Being out at sea is the most relaxing feeling we have ever had.

Here is our typical fun day at sea:

A Day In The Life

(1) Sit out on balcony with cup of coffee

(2) Quick shower and go to gymnasium (about 6:30 am)

(3) Sauna, steam and shower ( about 7:30 am)

(4) Go somewhere to breakfast (usually dining room on day at sea)

(5) Park ourselves somewhere on Lido deck with books, ipods, etc.

(6) I go up to F deck for hour or so to cultivate tan and get some quiet time.

(7) Mrs. B. finds shade

(8) hop in and out of pool like lizard on a sunny rock.

(9) take a nap

(10) have a bit of lunch - favorites - fish and chips and deli

(11) go back to cabin for afternoon delights

(12) take another nap

(13) go back to sauna and steam room, and shower

(14) change into some kind of clothing for "cocktail hour", go to promenade deck, have some cocktails, some snacks (sushi) and people watch.

(15) lose some money at the slots or the blackjack

(16) walk around deck just before sundown

(17) go to dinner

(18) maybe go to show, or maybe just hang out at piano bar or karaoke

(19) evening delights

(20) fall asleep - tough day.

Ahhhhhh...yes, coffee and fruit on the balcony watching the sun rise....in my PJ's. Then to the sun deck to get some fresh air and a good tan. Then high tea in the afternoon and some sushi before dinner. Then to finish it off...sit on the balcony at night and listen to the water as the ship glides across the ocean.

  1. Get up early
  2. Swing by the buffet to get an orange to reserve my chair near the pool
  3. Eat
  4. Go back to bed
  5. Get up around noon, have a cigar on the lido deck, being careful to direct the smoke to those eating nearby.
  6. Eat
  7. Check on my chairs. The orange is still there. Add a plate from lunch.
  8. Go back to bed
  9. Get up before dinner. Pick out a pair of jeans for dinner.
  10. Check on my chairs. Become outraged that the staff has put the chairs away.
  11. Go to the dining room 30 minutes late.
  12. Eat
  13. Leave half way through meal. Stop at buffet to get more oranges for the lounge. Place oranges on front row. Return to dining room.
  14. Eat
  15. Leave dining room late.
  16. Arrive at show 30 minutes late. Become outraged that someone has moved my oranges. Start argument, then take another seat (I'm chicken)
  17. Fall asleep during show.
  18. Wake up and leave early -- go to pizza station
  19. Eat
  20. Go to bed.

:D
