marshaatn Posted August 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2007 Hello everyone, We will be sailing on the Celebrity Mercury in 2008 and plan to do a wine tour to the Yarra Valley while in Melbourne. We have gotten a nice response from Epicurean Food and Wine Tours that I am considering hiring for the tour. Has anyone had any experience with this company? Also, could anyone recommend a nice place for lunch while in the Yarra Valley? Thanks in advance for the help. Marsha and Mike
SelectSys Posted August 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2007 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=551877&highlight=Wine+Tours This is a reasonable thread on the subject. Not sure if it includes a specific reference to your tour company but you'll find links to many operators
Aussie Gal Posted August 25, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2007 There are quite a few good places to eat in the Yarra Valley including Domain Chandon, Fergusons Winery and De Botoli Winery. http://www.yarra-valley.net.au/domaine_chandon/qamin.htm http://www.fergussonwinery.com.au/home.htm http://www.debortoli.com.au You can go up market and have lunch at a 5 star hotel which is Chateau Yering but I think the first three I mentioned are much nicer and you are amongst the vines at all of these places with great views. http://www.chateauyering.com.au/ Jennie
