We are honeymooning this Saturday on Liberty. Does RCCL offer and upgrades for newlyweds?

Sometimes they upgrade people - how they decide on who to upgrade is a mysterty to me. But most ships sail full these days so upgrades are few.

Have your TA check the bookings and see if there are empty cabins...find a cabin you like then see the Dock Supervisor when you check in at the dock. Just ask the person who is checking you in and say you would like to talk to The Dock Supervisor.

If there is space available you will pay the difference of the cabin you booked and the new cabin, no free upgrades.

 

Also on every sailing there has been dozens of honeymooners so they couldn't upgrade them.

Best advice is to book the cabin you want to be in--with ships sailing full, upgrades are not common at all.

You told them while booking it was your honeymoon right? Generally they invite you to a party where they have cake and champagne and may bring out a cake during dinner one night. Also you can get preferred seating for dinner for a table for two--that's about it.

If you didn't tell them it was your honeymoon when you booked, call them and make sure they know. Also tell everyone you see on the ship it's your honeymoon, your cabin steward, waiter, bartender. You never know what will happen.

I do think that our cruise is pretty full, maybe just a handful of cabins left. It was worth a shot!

Back in 99, we were on Celebrity for our honeymoon, and were upgraded from an inside to an oceanview, but I do understand many of the ships are sailing close to capacity.
