Maverick927 Posted September 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2007 We are honeymooning this Saturday on Liberty. Does RCCL offer and upgrades for newlyweds?
kathyemma Posted September 5, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2007 Sometimes they upgrade people - how they decide on who to upgrade is a mysterty to me. But most ships sail full these days so upgrades are few. Congrats! Kathy
CGTNORMANDIE Posted September 5, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2007 Have your TA check the bookings and see if there are empty cabins...find a cabin you like then see the Dock Supervisor when you check in at the dock. Just ask the person who is checking you in and say you would like to talk to The Dock Supervisor.
Sue L Posted September 5, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 5, 2007 If there is space available you will pay the difference of the cabin you booked and the new cabin, no free upgrades. Also on every sailing there has been dozens of honeymooners so they couldn't upgrade them.
cb at sea Posted September 5, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 5, 2007 Best advice is to book the cabin you want to be in--with ships sailing full, upgrades are not common at all.
girlbuffalo1 Posted September 5, 2007 #6 Share Posted September 5, 2007 You told them while booking it was your honeymoon right? Generally they invite you to a party where they have cake and champagne and may bring out a cake during dinner one night. Also you can get preferred seating for dinner for a table for two--that's about it.
WhiteSoxFan Posted September 5, 2007 #7 Share Posted September 5, 2007 If you didn't tell them it was your honeymoon when you booked, call them and make sure they know. Also tell everyone you see on the ship it's your honeymoon, your cabin steward, waiter, bartender. You never know what will happen. Glad you got my e-mail and signed up for the M & M, have a great time! Keith
Maverick927 Posted September 5, 2007 Author #8 Share Posted September 5, 2007 I do think that our cruise is pretty full, maybe just a handful of cabins left. It was worth a shot! Thanks, everyone!!
powelweb Posted September 5, 2007 #9 Share Posted September 5, 2007 Back in 99, we were on Celebrity for our honeymoon, and were upgraded from an inside to an oceanview, but I do understand many of the ships are sailing close to capacity. good luck with your wedding and marriage.
