  1. My Mother is sailing the Icon in just over 3 week. I have repeatedly logged in over the last several months to her cruise planner and each time is see a message stating "We're putting the finishing touches on our entertainment lineup ... check back closer to your sail date ..: The sailing is just over three weeks away, at what point will they release the shows for booking?
  2. Boarding the Summit next week and, with a full ship, hope to find better service than you had.
  3. The IV cabins are ones where I definitely go for the bed by the bathroom. Creates a much more open space in the area between the bed and the IV. I would consider your cabin a plus!
  4. We booked a Beyond sailing in April of 2022. As I recall they eliminated the Elevate package a couple of months later.
  5. I checked in the first day so I could to get the earliest slot. 10 days later all time slots are still available.
  6. Just got this deal on my December 6 sailing. I had already purchased it so I cancelled and re-purchased. Now I have an extra $115 OBC to try and spend (or take out of a slot machine) 😉
  7. We would also catch the morning trivia around 10:30Am IIRC. They would also have on in the afternoon as well as contest like archery, chipping or putting, basketball and ladder golf. These were usually in the afternoon. As noted previously, no prizes for trivia. I did win a t-shirt for archery.
  8. We have sailed both. The major difference is the Beyond is longer so they added the World Class bar and a restaurant. The reconfiguration of the Sunset bar is a major plus but not a deal breaker in my mind.
  9. I personally enjoyed the Grand Plaza, however, it's not a quiet place. Sunset bar on the Edge tends to be pretty crowded. It is much larger on the Beyond. Eden is probably your best bet.
  10. I agree with you should be OK. Do priority disembarkation, carry your own bags and there should be a line up of taxis. You don't say what day of the week this will be but hopefully not a weekend. Last January we disembarked on a Sunday and the security lines were insane. There was a line to get to the Pre-check line. The standard line went to the end of the terminal and then half way back outside. To be fair we took our time getting off the ship and were in no rush and still had no problem catching our 12:30pm flight.
  11. Right now a 3 night dining package for my December 4 night cruise is $143.99. (Reg $155.00) Excluding the 20% gratuity they generously tack on.
  12. Ah! My bad. I assumed it was sailing out of Miami not Port Everglades. If this is the case then absolutely return the car to FLL. Whatever extra they may charge will more that be made up by the extra cost and inconvenience of going from MIA to FLL The taxi/uber ride over from FLL is very short and very quick.
  13. I believe taxi fares to the port from the airport are a fixed rate of $27.00. After you drop your car you go up to the top level and that is where the taxi/rideshare pickup is. Very easy.
  14. Uber fare estimator has Uber X @ $22-24 and XL @ $35-38. Another option, if you rent from Alamo, is a free shuttle to the port that runs every 45 minute or so.
  15. IMO the easiest and fastest way is to take a taxi. You can also Uber/Lyft and save a few dollars but there is usually a line of taxis available. Personally I would skip the drop at the port, drop the car off and get an Uber XL for the group and save the time going back and forth. It will be a good 50-60 minutes to drop the car, go to the taxi/ride share pickup spot and get back.
  16. I tell people it's a panoramic ocean view with a window that opens. Not that I dislike them, I just think it's the most accurate description.
  17. My last two cruises (my only on X) I have barely seen any kids. Of course they were the 3rd week in January the last two years as well as being 50% & 70% capacity. By barely I mean no more that 15 total (Excluding infants) combined on both sailings.
  18. My last two cruises I selected using the Celebrity site and then contacted my online TA to confirm pricing. On both sailings she was able to offer a group rate. We saved about $400 on a 7-night Beyond Infinite Veranda in January and the latest, a 4-night on the Summit, I saved over $600 on a Prime Concierge Veranda.
  19. When we were on the Beyond in January we found a temporary desk located adjacent t the guest services desk. It was the first place we went after dropping our bags and the line grew very quickly.
  20. Yes. The service we received was simply amazing.
  21. Sounds like it's going great. Any idea the pax count and if it seems crowded. We join you on Sunday. See you at the Martini Bar!
  22. My "Real ID" license will actually expires before they implement the Real ID.
  23. We usually spend 3-4 hours sitting at the edge of the pool (or occasionally in it) and had no problems with drinks. Never really tired taking them in the pool with us but have seen others do it. My pet peeve with Celebrity is they do not have beer in aluminum bottle like Royal does so all beer goes in a plastic cup which doesn't keep it cold very long.
  24. Similar interest in upgrading from the AI basic internet to Premium.
  25. If it's like Royal you do not need to upgrade on day 1. Would I be wrong in assuming the cost to upgrade would be the difference in the purchase price of the Basic & Premium wifi? That appears to be $15.00 in the planner. Less the Elite discount.
