JC Butterfly Posted September 27, 2007 #26 Share Posted September 27, 2007 and another question. If a tour is granted, is it generally only when the ship is in port? I have shore excursions booked that I wouldn't want to miss but I also wouldn't want to offend the captain by not showing up to a tour I requested! Cruise Junky Posted September 27, 2007 #27 Share Posted September 27, 2007 We didn't ask, but were sent a an invitation by the captain for a tour...we were in full suites. It was while we were at Sea, not in Port.
friend of Eeyore Posted September 27, 2007 #28 Share Posted September 27, 2007 when making these requests, do you address it "Dear Captain" in the generic form? Or is there a way to find out the captain's name ahead of time? (looking for Caribbean Princess next week specifically) Thanks! I wrote my letter the first morning of the cruise, using the Captain's name and info from the "Welcome Aboard" patter - I tried to personalize it a little. We got our bridge tour, and the captain even threw in a bottle of wine for our anniversary! See my sig for links to pictures - they're in the med cruise section.
