kidless Posted October 23, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2007 We live over by the port and my DH travels a lot and usually flys out of Orlando. He uses Blue Dolphin Shuttle. If you have a big group or want to go fancy in a Limo try JJ Limo :D

nanner10 Posted October 23, 2007 #6 Share Posted October 23, 2007 Is RCI's shuttle from the airport complimentary if you are on their cruise? No you have to pay for it through RCCL. Call RCCL or your travel agent if you booked through one. We use www.Artsshuttle.com from time to time. They are very dependable. We usually just rent a car right at the airport. We use Budget and with a Costco coupon code (there are probably others you can get, try Wal-mart site for their code). It usually costs us around $35 for an intermediate size car for one day/one way rental. Their location in Cocoa Beach is on RT A1A just a short way from the Port. They will shuttle you to the Port for free. Works great! We often take Arts Shuttle back to the airport for its time saving simplicity, although it costs more than the rental car. cruizinmimi Posted October 23, 2007 #7 Share Posted October 23, 2007 I believe it is $25 per person. Rccl shuttle is now $32 per person each way. Round trip for one would be $
kc320 Posted October 23, 2007 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2007 AND if you take RCCL's shuttle you may end up sitting for a while as they wait until the bus is full before they leave..... then you end up at the port with a bus full of people all trying to get in line & check in... A car or private shuttle is usually cheaper & faster...

A car or private shuttle is usually cheaper & faster... I am glad you added that KC320! Although for us, avoiding the "herd" is worth paying more if we have to. The car rental is actually less than RCCL's transportation and Art's Shuttle is slightly more for two people but the price goes down per person if you have more in your party so it may be less than RCCLs. In both cases you are traveling with just your party, although on one trip we did have another couple in Art's Shuttle with us. Either the shuttle or rental car are a much, much more pleasant way to start/end a cruise than sitting around squished into a bus waiting for it to load up with people and then waiting for our luggage to be unloaded once you arrive at your destination.
