Formal Nights

I am booked on the OOsterdam 12/8/07 Mexico " can't wait" and would like to reserve two nights in the Pinnacle Grill and we would prefer to do these on the casual nights. Which nights are formal night please?

Welcome to CC and the HAL board.

 

Normally, formal nights are the evening of a sea day. They're never on the first night or the last night. That's about as much information as I can give you. It's not an exact science.

Plam on two. when you get documents it will tell you which nights are formal..

Unless you have a very late port departure on your second day aboard, that will be your first formal night. For a Saturday to Saturday sailing, usually formal nights are Sunday and Thursday. That would vary such as if Wednesday is a (heavenly) day at sea.

Our docs don't indicate which days are formal -- it just says two formal and 5 smart casual nights.

 

I assummed as others have stated that its on the sea days.

HAL docs never say specifically which night will be formal or smart casual. They need to have flexibility on board to change the scheduling for various reasons.

On our recent Nov 13th cruise on the MS Oosterdam Formal Nights were Sunday and Thursday nights. I would imagine that those days will continue throughout the season.

 

We hope you enjoy the MS Oosterdam as much as we did. What a wonderful ship and crew.
