lindsaymarie Posted December 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2007 HI everyone, Right now I am scheduled to dine at 8:30 everynight in the dining room. I thought that this was going to be a perfect time, however after reading a couple of threads, came to the conclusion, that I will miss a lot of the shows because the service in the dining room is very slow. I would like to make a change to eat at 8 giving us the extra half hour. My question is will I be able to have the concierge handle this request for me, or will we have to line up outside the dining room. Thanks Lindsay, soon to sail on the Zuiderdam, December 15th, 2007
kakalina Posted December 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2007 Your concierge will handle this for you.
jhannah Posted December 3, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2007 You can't move a traditional, fixed seating time by just 30 minutes. You either switch from late to early, or vice versa. If you want to switch, then yes, the concierge can assist.

mamaofami Posted December 3, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2007 Or you can do AYW and arrive at 7:30 and hope to be seated by 8pm.

(At least there was last week on the Oosterdam.)
meterman2 Posted December 3, 2007 #7 Share Posted December 3, 2007 Last cruise on the Zuiderdam (11/10/07) I tried to switch to 8 from 8:30 but I had no luck. However, we did not miss any shows. Also, on two nights they scheduled the show for the main sittings before dinner. This was a nice change of pace. The bad part on those two nights was we ended up in the casino after dinner...................no luck there either.

It's news to me, at least as it applies to those ships still on the four dining times.

I knew Zuiderdam was not on AYWD yet, but I guess I just disconnected after that. I need a cruise!!!
