Looking for a cabin with the least amount of movement (worried about getting seasick!!). Also not too worried about convenience/walking....are looking for a cabin in a quite area. The cabins available are Baja 11 - cabins B745.....looking at the book....what is on the corner between this cabin and B751....is that a public balcony....part of cabin B751? B705....how are cabins so close to an elevator? Alohoa 12 cabin A608....close to self laundry?.....because it is under the Lido deck...is there a good possibility that we will hear noise from above? This is our first cruise so we'd appreciate any comment.....thanks in advance!!

I personally would avoid the Aloha deck cabin, it's under the buffet restaurant, thus more likelihood of noise. Plus it's higher up, thus more movement. Cabins near elevators may experience more noise, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. The cabin near the elevator of the three would experience the least movement, as it is closer to midship. The aft cabin, I think that is stairwell between cabins, that's not a big deal IMHO.

I personally would try to find a cabin on a lower deck if you are worried about seasickness. Plus, balcony cabins get bigger (the balcony part) as you go down on Grand class ships. Some don't like the fact that you can be seen on part of one's balcony from above, but for those who like to sun, it's a plus.

Princess grand class ships are built this way. Aloha looks down on Baja, Baja on Caribe (which are double the size, btw. They are both covered and uncovered). Caribe looks down on Dolphin and so on. Balconies on Baja and Aloha are completely covered, those on Dolphin and Emerald are completely open.

I'd recommend a cabin in the middle of the ship on either Baja, Caribe, or Dolphin decks.

Aloha and Baja balconies are on the same "plane" if you will, Caribe sticks out further, and Dolphin even further. It would be difficult for someone on an Aloha balcony to see someone on a Baja balcony, but both of those balconies,

A&B can clearly see onto C&D (Caribe and Dolphin)

If you're trying to avoid additional movement then you definitely don't

want a cabin in the back of the ship, or the very front either.

Basic rule of thumb, lower down and centered will give you less movement,

but if seas are rough you will feel it everywhere.

Aloha deck is problematic if you're under the pool deck area, because others

have reported hearing the dragging of lounge chairs at all hours of the

day and into the night when the deckhands remove the chairs and stack

them, and again early morning when they're setting them up again.

People can see other people on their balcony???? People can see the people on the balcony underneath them? Is this true on all cruise ships? is this true for all levels? Thank you!
we have had balconies on, Celebrity, Carnival and NcL, only on Carnival could you see people on other balconies regardless of below or next to you.

You definitely can on some of the Princess ships...

A picture is worth...?? Here is a link to some balcony shots I took during a repositioning cruise on the Star Princess.
