azcruisingmom Posted September 9, 2004 #26 Share Posted September 9, 2004 I voted for the Star as that is the only one we have sailed on, (twice). I will have to compare her to the Caribbean and Diamond later this year.
spongerob Posted September 9, 2004 #27 Share Posted September 9, 2004 I would probably have voted for the Royal if it was staying with the fleet. Since it's not, my favorite design is the Sun-class. Those ships have an interesting layout that makes them fun to explore. The atrium area with its impressive marble stairs is a real visual treat, too. Rare geoherb Posted September 9, 2004 #28 Share Posted September 9, 2004 All of our Princess cruises have been on the Grand-class ships: twice on the Golden and once each on the Star and Grand. We saw the Island Princess in port when we were on the Star Princess last summer. It looked great. I think we'd enjoy that size ship.
Druke I Posted September 9, 2004 #29 Share Posted September 9, 2004 I voted for the Sun, but I do like the new Pacific Princess, and Coral Princess. My favorite for years was the Royal Princess - sorry to see her leave the fleet. Were I King of Princess, I would build a new ship, about 50,000 GRT, 1000 PAX to replace Royal Princess. What a ship she would be, with all the new "bells and whistles"!! Michael
Aquarian Posted September 9, 2004 #30 Share Posted September 9, 2004 The Dawn used to be my favorite ship but now I vote for the Caribbean. The 500 extra passengers is/are not an issue. It is a beautiful ship and it is run very well. IMHO, it is prettier than the Grand and the Golden.
ssantow Posted September 9, 2004 #31 Share Posted September 9, 2004 Are we not allowed to have a past ship as our favorite? I would vote for the original Pacific Princess. We did a 15 day full transit of the canal on her many years ago. For her age she was a fantastic ship, and by the time the 15 days were over you knew all 700 passengers as if they were family. cruiserforlife Posted September 9, 2004 #32 Share Posted September 9, 2004 I voted for the grand class ships because I feel the Star was the most beautiful ship I've ever been on...you know, bigger IS better! We have also sailed the Sea and the Ocean and are sailing the Sun on 1/28. Bigger isn't really always better (RCL's NOS comes to mind) and I think the Caribbean is a beautiful ship and just the right size.

Doug&Nadine Posted September 10, 2004 #34 Share Posted September 10, 2004 Although it has been a few years since we have sailed on them the Crown/Regal class is still my favorite. They were the ships we took our first three cruises on. They say you never forget your first love. It seems that all of the ships from the Tahitian Princess to the grand class have their own personalities. Not better or worse, just different. If this were an old time Chicago election I would vote for all of them.
corkpopr Posted September 10, 2004 #35 Share Posted September 10, 2004 haved sailed the Ocean and the Sea princess. hope to do the Dawn next year going on the Golden in two weeks. i like them under 60,000 tons and 1300 passengers.
AmyinGA Posted September 10, 2004 #36 Share Posted September 10, 2004 I love the Island. I was surprised too. After thinking the Grand was the best I was wondering if the Island would feel small or cramped. But I liked it even more than the Grand.
SHayesShip Posted September 10, 2004 #37 Share Posted September 10, 2004 I have been on all the ships in the pole except the Island, Tahitian, Sapphire, Diamond (cruising anyway) and Dawn. My favorite is the Coral. However, I will be on the Diamond in November and after visiting her while in port earlier this year, she may end up being my favorite. Steve Hayes Which Princess ship is your favorite? Since these polls allow ten maximum options and there are more than ten ships, I listed sister ships together. FelinerX3 Posted September 10, 2004 #39 Share Posted September 10, 2004 I've sailed on the original Pacific, the Royal, Sun, Dawn and Grand, but I would have to vote for the Caribbean Princess as my fav - she is just majestic! The Dawn would be my next choice - lovely, lovely ship.
Tahitian Princess Posted September 10, 2004 #40 Share Posted September 10, 2004 I voted for the Tahitian Princess, my favorite ship, favorite itinerary. We like the smaller ships, and as far as beauty goes the South Pacific can't be beat(IMHO)!
1cruiselvr Posted September 11, 2004 #41 Share Posted September 11, 2004 I voted for Pacific Princess for it's size and design. However, Princess can't take the credit for it since this ship belonged to Renaissance before Princess bought it. Kruznut Posted September 14, 2004 #42 Share Posted September 14, 2004 I love the Island Princess and she's my #1 pick with the Grand Princess at the #2 slot. I've sailed on Dawn, Ocean, Sea and the old Star Princess and enjoyed them all !
prophotogirl Posted September 14, 2004 #43 Share Posted September 14, 2004 I voted for the Dawn since the Caribbean Princess isn't listed (even tho I think it would fit into the catagory with the Star, Grand and Golden or even with the Diamond). obnurse Posted September 14, 2004 #44 Share Posted September 14, 2004 My favorite? Whichever one I'm sailing on! Haven't been on a bad one yet and I can't wait to try out Sun Princess 1-28-05!
RSteele Posted September 16, 2004 #45 Share Posted September 16, 2004 I can't help but be partial to the Royal...because of her size...intinerary and the crew on the ship. I love Alan and Alana and Trixie, who is the shore excursion lady...they have made our cruises on the Royal very special. :D

Mbouck1 Posted September 16, 2004 #49 Share Posted September 16, 2004 Especially the Sea Princess. She was our first cruise and is what hooked us to cruising. We went back to her and renewed our marriage vows on her. :)
HighRoller Posted September 16, 2004 #50 Share Posted September 16, 2004 I vote for the Star Pricness have been on her 3 times in the past 8 months, but can't wait to go on the Tahitian Princess on Dec 3rd, 2004 Marquesas and on the Sapphire Princess on Dec 23rd, 2004 as it will be my first time on either!
