sail7seas Posted January 11, 2008 #51 Share Posted January 11, 2008 St. Thomas has docking areas for ships. Havensight and Crown Bay. HAL and Princess recently signed a ten year contract to use Crown Bay dock most of the time. We were in St. Thomas in December and there was only one ship at Havensight but Maasdam had to dock at Crown Bay along with WindSpirit. Seeing as there were two empty docks at Havensight we had hoped maybe they would let us dock there but it didn't happen. St. Maarten Dock is about 4? years old. It's great IMO We love the walk down the dock and to downtown. It's a bit long for folks with difficulty walking but there are lots of shops along the way to pop into to get a bit of air conditioning if it starts to get too hot for you. St. Maarten's a nice port IMO

mamaofami Posted January 11, 2008 #53 Share Posted January 11, 2008 As many times as I've been to St. Martin, I can not picture the dock.
