Some people won't be happy unless others are bowing and scraping to them.

It's a 10 year old cruise ship. It's not Allure or Oasis. It's going to show it's age just a wee bit.

Staff turns over, too. Sometimes you get people who are newer than others. Just as there are all kinds of people with different personalities who are vacationing you're also going to have the same situation with the staff. You also don't know how a staff person had just been treated by a passenger or another staff person. A smile goes a long way to smoothing ruffled feathers.

Again, just go and have fun.
You also don't know how the person posting their rant on these boards treated the staff person that they are complaining about or about what type of attitude they portray when interacting with the staff.

All I can say is there is a reason why many of us have sailed Adventure mutilple times. And it is NOT because it is a run down rust bucket with a cranky crew.

I'm down to 38 days until my AOS cruise and still the status of my Documents is 'Not Issued'.
I've completed the online check in and have printed my setsail pass.

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light? Is it because we're travelling from the UK and booked through a travel agent?

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed...

I'd be calling my TA ASAP and wanting to know what's going on.

Absolutely not.

I would hate for you to have second thoughts about your cruise. Hope I haven't offended in my responses. I just want people to cruise and have fun. I think you'll be just fine.

Thanks Teeara. I'll give them a call tomorrow. I wasn't sure how it worked with air/cruise packages booked via a TA from the UK.

I just really wanna do the Doc Dance that everyone talks about on here and oh those lovely luggage tags ;)

I'm not really sure, but I think the EOS does an 11 or 12 day cruise that includes some of the islands on the southern itinerary.....

Yes, EOS does Caribbean, but not southern Caribbean from Bayonne. No where near the southern route that AOS does out of PR. If it does, I am SOOO on it!

This is the EOS itinerary I have seen for her 12 night cruise out of New Jersey. ;)
Not bad, but not as great as a 14 night B2B on the Adventure or the Serenade out of San Juan. :D

Cape Liberty Cruise Port, New Jersey; Labadee, Haiti; Samana, Dominican Republic; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; Basseterre, St. Kitts; St. John's, Antigua; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Cape Liberty Cruise Port, New Jersey

I picture your review reading something like this.....

Ok, this was my 176th sailing on this ship. I found the boat to be in a terrible state of disrepair. The crew must have been scraped from the bottom of some old bucket and the food tasted like it came out of the same bucket that the crew was scraped out of. The itinerary is the absolute worst. St. Thomas is a pit. St. Maarten is a deeper pit. All of the bars were empty at night because drink prices were so high and the passengers were all in bed by 10PM anyway. Forget about using the elevators because the average age of the passengers was about 97 yrs. and it looked like scooter and wheel chair city lining up for them. The entertainment was nonexistant. The CD was horrible. And the worst part about the entire week was that there were Puerto Ricans all over the the ship cutting in line and speaking... SPANISH....of all things. The nerve of them.......

OK, you know I am joking.....RIGHT??!! But I did try to cover most of the negative things that I read about the ship. :D

Oh, and one more thing. The part about this being Robyn's 176 cruise on the ship.... THAT was no joke!:p
