Looking for Miami hotel

Can anyone suggest a hotel that has shuttle service to and from airport and to port. I know Miami is expensive, but would like something around 150.00 per night, since we will need a pre cruise night and a post cruise night. Thanks for any help.

We've been at the Holiday Inn Bayside several times. They have no shuttle to the port, but the taxi fare is relatively cheap. Book early, they fill up quick. Ask for a water view, you can sea the ships in the harbor the next morning. Directly across the street is Bayside Marketplace . . . shops, restaurants, entertainment, maybe even an NBA game or concert or circus at nearby American Airlines arena. There is a Walgreen's and Ross store within walking distance. Try it, you'll like it. We did.

Sue,

Thanks for the confirm. Sometimes, we like what others don't.

We have stayed there a bunch of times now and last time we even went for the boat ride out of Bayside to see the celebrities homes. It was very nice.

Few, if any, hotels near Bayside Marketplace or the cruise ship terminals offer a shuttle service from the airport. Taxi fares are set and are fairly reasonable. There are a number of very good hotels in that area but their prices will vary considerably depending on when you want to go. We have had very good luck using Priceline to bid on 3 and 4 star hotels in the downtown Miami area and have paid as little as $40 a night and as much as $115 for the Marriott Biscayne Bay, Radisson (now a Hilton) Miami, and the Hyatt. Others have gotten Doubletree and Intercontinental for similarly great bargains. You might want to check it out.:)

Our group just contacted (within the past couple of weeks) over 30 hotels for a pre-cruise and a post-cruise night. We chose Hampton Inn Miami Dadeland as our pre-cruise hotel.

They have a free airport shuttle, and their cruise shuttle is $15/room. The cost is $151.52 including tax for the room itself.

I would like to try Holiday Inn Bayside some time, but for this trip it's Hampton Inn! :)

We always staed there as well. A decent hotel at a decent price - or at least used to be. '04 we payed around $130 and in 06 around $160. In 07 we started looking at booking for our 08 cruise and the price never dipped below $220. That hotel is not worth that kind of money. So we called around (8 months early mind you) and got the Intercontinental at $160.

A Ross??? Yahoo! That does it for me! My MIL just booked the Holiday Inn this week for our pre/post cruise hotel in June, and we arrive SOO early the day before our cruise that there will be PLENTY of time to hit the Ross. That is a beautiful thing - thank you!! ;)

What is a Ross?

Ross is a discount chain that carries name brand clothing/shoes/accessories and home decor, bedding, etc., at reduced prices. Great place to stop in for last minute cruise clothing, sunglasses, flip flops, etc!! Ross is kind of like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Steinmart.....not sure if you have those in the UK either.

Hope that helps!!
