At

you find an overview of ships with a port stop in Egypt.

It is difficult to give a recommendation besides you need to have at the various options and see which ship/cruiseline fits your personal taste.

My only general advice would be to prefer a ship that stays overnight in Alexandria. This takes some rush and pressure out of the anyway busy time there.

Princess has a couple of itineraries that include the possibility of an overnight in Cairo. I did the Egypt/Aegean cruise (also includes Athens, Istanbul, Naples, Mykonos, Kusadasi, and starts and ends in Rome) -- great itinerary.

If you're looking for something even more off the beaten track, Princess also offers a "Holy Land" cruise that also includes 2 stops (with a possible Jerusalem overnight) in Israel.

The very best advice I can give you for sorting out all the cruises that go to Egypt is to find a good local Travel Agent who is a CLIA Accredited Cruise Counselor (look for the agent's diploma on the wall, not just an agency sticker). Ask your friends and co-workers for a recommendation. The service is entirely free to you. ACC's are trained to find the very best cruise for you, after learning your personal situation and preferences, and work hard to get you the very best rate.

We loved our cruise to the Holy Land and Egypt on Royal Princess. Check out our review and pics at http://www.elite.net/~thehalls/holyland.html

H ave a GREAT cruise!

IF you are looking for a quick stop....look at NCL's Jade iteniaries...two in April and two in the fall. We are on the Athens to Istanbul 12 night cruise - in addition to stops in the Greek Isles, we do an overnight in Alexandria so that allows time to go to Cairo.
