Where is Emerald Lake???

Yukon or anyone in the know,

Would we be seeing the same scenery if we drive to Emerald Lake vs. taking the Whitepass Railride?

Neverthought

Nope. The common views are only a few miles. The differences is the distance too. With the round trip train, it doesn't get into the Yukon, unless you book a combo train/bus tour specifically for the Yukon. (some buses are round trip summit- which is BC).

The White Pass, is loaded with history, superior scenery and amazing engineering. The Klondike Highway was completed in the 70's. :) and is an extremely scenic road. The best gift you have here is Murray's WONDERFUL detailed guide http://www.***** Just fantastic if driving is your preference.

Is this a published item or only available by download? Should I buy both this and the Milepost and what is the difference? We will be doing a lot of driving on our Alaskan vacation and these look to be invaluable resources. Joan

Are you driving interior Alaska??? The Milepost is a necessary reference for there.
