Can anyone verify if the mini suites on the Emerald deck have a covered balcony? The Princess rep said the balconies on the Dolphin deck are uncovered but the minis on Emerald have a covered balcony by the Dolphin deck above. Is the view from those balconies obstructed by the life boats which seem to project out a bit. Thanks.

I have been on Emerald Deck minisuites on Diamond Princess, Sapphire Princess as well as Emerald Princess and these minisuites are covered completely and the life boats do not obstruct your view. They are great cabins - you will love them.

How about any noise from Club Fusion above? We have a starboard cabin on hold next to the life boats. Thanks.

No noise on starboard side, which is over the entry. Sometimes noise is noticed from the port side, directly over the stage. No problems if you go to bed after the shows, but probably not a good choice for early to bed types.

The Princess rep was correct in this case. (What are the chances of that?) These are great cabins and if you want the AD uncovered mini's, make sure you have your TA mark your booking with "No Upgrade." There are no obstructions and from what I've read, only a few have reported noise from Club Fusion but they were in the furthest aft port-side (even numbered) cabins which are directly above the band.
