barb-ottawa Posted March 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2008 Search is still down so hope someone can answer this for me. Just finished our first cruise on Sunday - had some pretty rocky days and nights, but nothing we couldn't handle. In fact, no seasickness at all. However, for the past two days it feels like my house is going through some rough seas whenever I sit or stand still. When will this stop?

I always take Bonine that I use for sea sickness a couple of days after I get home......so far no swaying :D Dianne
abbyjude2002 Posted March 25, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2008 I have a harder time back on land than I do at sea....dramamine or bonine usually helps...I take them for 3-4 days after a week long cruise.
cb at sea Posted March 25, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2008 Had the same problem after our 1st (rather rocky) cruise! I only felt it in the tub, tho! (Must have been the water!!!!) Very strange sensation, indeed! Took about a week or so to totally go away.
cruiserbryce Posted March 25, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2008 typically I dont get it too bad...but when I do it lasts for a day or so and is really noticeable when I stand still...I have never had it bad enough that it has made me ill though
Enigma007 Posted March 26, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 26, 2008 It lasted a couple of days for me. Nothing bad. I just ignored it and it went away.

When will this stop?Welcome to the wonderful world of Mal de Debarquement:rolleyes: I rather enjoy the occasional feeling for a week or 10 days after getting back from a cruise. However, in some rare cases it can last years. For more info, Click Here. Or google Mal de Debarquement. Charlie
NCTribeFan Posted March 27, 2008 #8 Share Posted March 27, 2008 I took Ginger capsules for the first time on my December cruise (along with Bonine) and had absolutely no problems, and there was quite a bit of motion. I continued the Ginger only for 2 days post-cruise and, for the first time, had no post-cruise issues, either.
