Diva21 Posted April 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2008 Good morning all, I'm booked on the Century for the 5-night Caribbean cruise. It's a "girl's trip" and we always try to avoid formal night as we've seen one another dressed up more than enough. That said, if we book Murano's for the formal night of the cruise, are we required to don formal wear to dine at Muranos as well? RC doesn't require this, but this is our first sailing on X. Thanks! eandj Posted April 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2008 It is the dress code for the night. But don't think you HAVE to don the long gowns. Why not just a pretty dress or black dressy pants with a dressy top? Just don't pull out the flat sandals and capris. If you think "semi formal" ie..good restaurant outfit, you'll look and feel fine. Diva21 Posted April 4, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted April 4, 2008 Thank you so much! Dress pants and tops are fine, we were afraid we had to bust out the old prom dresses! Thanks again!
kitty9 Posted April 4, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2008 Whatever the dress code is in the main dining room is the same for Muranos. They changed things recently as the code used to be that for every night the code was formal or informal (you had to wear informal clothes even on casual nights). But now, whatever the code is in the dining room, that's what it is in Muranos. While it's not necessary to pull out the prom dresses, formal night is more dressy than what you'd wear on informal nights.
Schplinky Posted April 5, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2008 Women seem to have a lot more lattitude for dress codes than men. That's likely fair since a man can wear the same suit every day of the cruise nd nobody would notice.
