Royal charge for cash adv from casino?

Recommended Posts

leaving on Mariner May 11

Read some posts few months back that Royal might start charing 2-3% for cash advances from the casino cashier starting this April?

Has anyone run into this? ship or fleet-wide?

was a nice plus not to have to carry so much cash specially if you like to play in the casino.

thanks!

I think we have another urban myth in the making. Only reports of such a charge have been of the "a friend of a friend told me" type. No first hand reports of such a charge but many reports to the contrary. This is definitely the kind of thing where, if it was happening, we would be getting inundated with reports and complaints.

There was another thread where some folks had said they were charged 3% but it was unclear (at least to me) whether they had used their Sea Pass Acct or actually used a credit card (which I think does get charged a % for cash withdrawal).

Guess lots of us are getting skilled at determining whether something is true or is an urban myth in the world of cruising.
