Where to go on Orient Beach

We would like to be dropped off by a cab on Orient Beach and I understand it is a long beach. We are looking for a nice section of beach, with restaurant and bar, beach chairs and bathrooms. Any suggestions?;)

The beach is about 1.5 miles long and has MANY beach bars and restaurants of every description. Here's the list:

Papayago (NUDE)

Club Orient (NUDE)

Pedro's

La Salsa

BayWatch

Pirate (white & blue)

TropiCafe (burned)

Continent

Paradiso Beach

Fiesta Mexicana

KonTiki (red/white)

Kakao Beach

Bikini Beach

La Playa

Waikiki Beach (red)

Coco (lite blue)

BooBoo Jam

Most of the cab drivers will drop you off at Pedro's then you walk down the beach until you find a place to your liking. The most popular spots for cruisers is KonTiki, Kakao Beach, Bikini Beach and La Playa. The area between Coco and BooBoo Jam is very sparse and quiet.

The selection is very personal, so you'll just have to pick one you like. You can't go wrong with any.

Driving there from Phillipsburg there seemed to be two main turn offs to Orient Beach. The first one will take you to the section where most people seem to have their clothes on... except for the occasional person talking a walk. As for the second extrance......

Take your choice depending on what you want for views.

From Philipsburg, it's the first entrance (also to the Butterfly Farm) that takes you to the Club Orient section of the beach, which is clothing optional.

Weather has been absolutely perfect the last week and a half that we've been here. 2 cruise ships in that period, until today, when four are in port!

Hi Kal. Some stores still don't have Carib since the strike -- have to make do with Heineken.

How does the Front Street project look? Also, has the second section of the boardwalk been started?

Frontstreet is a DISASTER. I'll have pictures to post when we get back, but it is much worse than I imagined, even with the pictures on the frontstreetsxm.com website.

People are still shopping, but what a mess!

We had lunch at Ms. B's yesterday. She had lots of COLD Caribs, and they're still only a buck.

p.s. We're having lunch with Joyce in about half an hour.
