I voted that I am indifferent but I don't really like either name. I agree that "Oasis" sounds too desert-like although a synonym for oasis is refuge, sanctuary, retreat so yeah, it makes sense.

I don't like "Allure" of the Seas at all. It sounds cheesy.

In any case, I live only a couple of hours away from Port Everglades and I am thrilled that Oasis will be home ported so close to home. I will be glad when I know when she will be actually begin sailing

Of all the words in the English language, I can't believe that Oasis and Allure are the best choice to name these ships. I'm very disappointed in all the names that were under final consideration.

I voted "Hate them"

When I read the first ship would be called the Oasis, the song Midnight at the Oasis played in my mind. I really hate that song. Fred Willard did a good cover of it.

You forgot my choice..."Just open the darn booking already "

I don't care if they call it chicken of the sea, I just want to start making some solid plans. :D

Me too!! Can't wait to sail on the big ships!!

I voted "hate them" but that is really just too strong. I just think they sound awful....espectially Allure OTS :(

Plus, when I think of Oasis - I think dessert and not water or seas

Dessert? As in Key Lime Pie? That would be a fun ship! Dessert of the Seas. :D

I'm with you, Fitz.

How about éclair of the seas?

Baked Alaska of the Seas? (it would sail to Alaska, obviously ;))

Soufflé of the Seas? Actually, I rather like that one...... ;)

Like many others, I think they could have found a better name than Oasis but it really doesn't matter as long as the ship is nice and I am sure it will be. I really thought the Genesis name would have been good for the first one but that is why someone else gets the big bucks to make these decisions. :D
