Juice is free on Lido deck. You get soda for your soda card....My grandson was able to get a Shirley Temple..which is soda with a marascino cherry and some juice. shipty2 Posted June 8, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 8, 2008 There are about three drinks included besides soda and juice. There was a Shirley Temple and a Roy Rogers which is coke and grenadine with cherries on it. There was one other but I don't remember what it was. There are several juices that you would have to purchase if you wanted to drink them on the ship..like cranberry.
firefly333 Posted June 8, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted June 8, 2008 So far sounds to me like no one has asked the bar tenders if they could get smoothies. I know you used to be able to get them. Saying the bar tender didnt offer one to you when you asked what you could get doesnt mean they are not still available. I have googled it and found older posts saying you could get smoothies and read it here. Unless someone has specifically asked for one and been told no you cant get them any more we dont know? G'ma Posted June 8, 2008 #10 Share Posted June 8, 2008 From the website: What is the Fountain Fun Card?We will offer to all guests the option to purchase a "Fountain Fun Card" which will allow them unlimited soft drinks for the duration of the cruise at a one time purchase price (including gratuities). The "Fountain Fun Card" can be purchased at the casino, lobby and pool bar onboard the ship. In all locations where beverage service is offered, guests may receive a glass of the soft drink of their choice - one glass will be served at a time and only to the guest whose name appears on the card. The card cannot be used through room service. NOTE: A 15% gratuity will automatically be added on at the time of purchase of the Fountain Fun Card. Just soda, we get the card all the time and as far as I know, it's only soda they will give you.
sms30519 Posted June 8, 2008 #12 Share Posted June 8, 2008 I think we all know now what the Carnival site says about the card. I believe the OP wanted to hear from folks who have actually used the card recently to get a smoothie!
firefly333 Posted June 8, 2008 Author #13 Share Posted June 8, 2008 I think we all know now what the Carnival site says about the card. I believe the OP wanted to hear from folks who have actually used the card recently to get a smoothie! lol exactly. I found this old post on another site's message board, not sure I can post the link here, but its from 2006. I have read on this board in the last 6 months others got smoothies, so until we hear from someone who has tried we dont know what you can get now. Im 100% sure I have read posts here on CC also, folks got smoothies. Feb 6, 2006: We just got back from Carnival Glory on a 7 day cruise. I bought 3 soda cards and it cost us $101.00. The cards are $4.00 per day for children and $5.00 per day for adults, you purchase them onboard at any bar and the one card is good for the entire cruise. There is also a 15% gratuity added to the cost. It is well worth it because it covers not only sodas but any smoothies they want. My daughter only drinks clear sodas for example so she got mostly shirley temples which are like 2.50 each normally, so if she bought two a day we would have more than paid for the card...it's a good deal. MississippiMom Posted June 8, 2008 #14 Share Posted June 8, 2008 We are slightly less than a month away from sailing, and I had already convinced myself that my DH would need his own soda card for his Diet Coke addiction. (It's his coffee ;)) However, if smoothies are an option, I think our 14 year old might need one, too, especially if they happen to be offered at Circle C. If no one can tell us for certain, I may just have to flat out ask the bartenders when we get on the ship and then decide if our daughter needs a card or not. Sorry to ask something that I am positive has already been answered on some other thread, but is it actually a separate card, or is it just a sticker or a credit that is placed on your S&S card? (I just can't see our daughter being able to keep up with two separate cards, because she is a bit spacey.)
candigirl41 Posted June 8, 2008 #15 Share Posted June 8, 2008 Can't answer the smoothie question, but they give you a separate card for the soda. Candi
firefly333 Posted June 8, 2008 Author #16 Share Posted June 8, 2008 I had a hole punched in my cards at the purser's desk, and put on a laynard you wear around your neck. My sister is disabled so this way she doesnt have to keep up with the cards, just make sure she is wearing the laynard. I had heard the casino will also punch the holes and if they have them will give you a free laynard, who knows if this is true or not anymore? Might have gone the way of the free espressos after dinner. The casino wasnt open while we were still docked, so I just had it done at the purser's desk. stargazingjess Posted June 8, 2008 #17 Share Posted June 8, 2008 The casino freebie isn't a lanyard, it's a stretchy cord with a clip on one end and a ring on the other - but if you wanted to you could clip to the ring and wear it!

Oh thanks. Everyone is always asking where we got our laynard, we got it free at some health fair as a give away. I think Walmart has them too. lol. So many folks want a lanyard like we have, you would think it was something special.
imlulu Posted June 8, 2008 #19 Share Posted June 8, 2008 I use the casino freebie thing for my sign and sail. Purser's desk puts hole in it and I put on ring. I then wrap the whole thing around my wrist like a bracelet. My ds puts both on lanyard..again hole punched.

MississippiMom Posted June 8, 2008 #21 Share Posted June 8, 2008 I really appreciate the tips on the lanyards. We are close to the Tunica/Robinsonville (Mississippi) casinos, so somebody around here should have an extra lanyard around that we can borrow for our teenager to use. Now, if someone can just give us all the "smoothie answer". . .
