pj20 Posted July 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2008 Will be traveling on Voyager in late September. Should we book excursions now or wait until on board? Do we need to make dinner reservations before sailing? Are any nights formal or will a dark suit for gentlemen suffice? Many Thanks for replies. Wendy The Wanderer Posted July 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2008 You can go to the RSSC website and find out about the dress code by finding your cruise. Even if there are formal nights, a dark suit is fine--tux and ballgowns not required. Can't comment on excursions except to say that if there is something you really want request it. The pre-cruise requests are not a reservation by the way, and are not binding on either side--you can cancel when you board if you've changed your mind. islandhalls Posted July 16, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2008 I'd sign up for excursions if you see ones that you would be really disappointed if you missed out because it was sold out -- you can always turn your tickets back in before the booking deadline if you change your mind once you get on board. For restaurants, you can book online 28 days before and it doesn't hurt to get one before you're on board bsince on some cruises it is harder to get reservations if you did not book ahead. A dark suit is fine, be happy!
Travelcat2 Posted July 17, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2008 You didn't mention where your cruise will be sailing to. In many ports, we prefer private tour companies. . . . less people -- usually the same or less cost. Many can be booked online prior to the cruise. P.S. Definitely book Latitudes and Signatures 28 days prior to your cruise!
