Formal Night On 3 Night Sos Cruise

I'M SURE THIS HAS BEEN ASKED MANY TIMES, SO I APOLOGIZE. BUT, HOW FORMAL IS "FORMAL NIGHT " ON A 3 DAY MINI CRUISE.?

DO PEOPLE REALY DRESS IN EVENING GOWNS LIKE THEY DO ON A LONGER CRUISE ?

I JUST FOUND OUT EVERYONE I'M SAILING WITH

WANT 'S'TO DO THE FORMANL NIGHT (AFTER MONTHS OF SAYING NO TO IT!)

It's always the 2nd night--can't do it the 1st night--no one has all their luggage. Can't do it the last night--folks are packing!

I FIGURED SATURDAY NIGHT. BUT FOR A LITTLE 3 DAY JAUNT, I WOULD HATE TO HAVE TO PACK A GOWN & HEELS! GIVE ME FLIP FLOPS ANYDAY!:D

Most do dress is some type of formal or semi formal attire. Most men are in suits or at least a sport jacket and tie and the ladies range from long dresses to cocktail dresses to evening pants with fancy tops.

 

As with any cruise - there are some that will dress in varying degrees of casual wear.

On the three night SOS cruise, I have seen everything in the dining rooms from shorts to tuxes. Basically anything goes.

 

For me, I skip and eat in town. Even for a three night cruise, it's nice to find a place off the ship to enjoy dinner.
