[COLLEYBERRY]

Colleyberrys' Cruisemas Eve

T'is the night before cruise day

and I pace 'bout the house,

double checking each item

from dockers to blouse.

I dream of the Eurodam

NewYork 'neath a bridge,

as I polish our home

and empty the fridge.

Our luggage is well packed

with outfits to wear;

some chosen for comfort,

some chosen for flare.

Lady Eurodam awaits us,

new and shiny is she.

I need only a Promenade

and lots of Baked Brie.

Travel clothes all laid out,

just waiting to don.

We leave before sunrise,

can't wait to be gone.

Documents,our passports,

and insurance to spare,

are checked and rechecked

to be sure they are there.

DD has her instructions

re. estate matters et al.

and "heaven forbid"

just whom she should call.

With a roll of her eyes

and a kiss to my head,

"Everything will be fine

Momma, just go to bed."

But my checklist is not yet complete.

There's one more thing I must do,

that's to send my deep gratitude

to each one of you.

Your combined love of cruising,

the wealth of knowledge you share,

helps each CCers' voyage

be so free of care.

You've all made this cruise

such a pleasure to plan.

I'll post a review

just as soon as I can.

I send love and best wishes

for all you've made right.

Now.....HAPPY SAILINGS TO ALL

and to ALL A GOODNIGHT

I know I won't be able to sleep,my feeble attempt at poetry

has helped to pass some time.

The verse is weak but the sentiment is true. Thanks again for

everything.:)

I am also thinking of all those in Gustavs' path , making travel choices that are nothing like the joys we find here on Cruise Critic.

I pray God keeps them safe and they find their homes intact on their return.

Well I really should try and get some rest , driver coming at 5:00 am.

Tomorrow this time I will be under the stars at sea.
