Any time I see ZERO single supplement I sit up and take note.

Radiance of the Seas - May 26, 2016

Anchorage - Vancouver

Yesterday (Feb. 27) the RCI website showed Oceanview ($707), Balcony ($1318), and Mini-Suite ($1977) cabins with ZERO single supplement.

Today the website shows 100% supplement. He who hesitates??

BTW Anyone know when cruiseplum is updated?

This is still available at 0% single supplement.

I *think* that's Euros not dollars. Still, inexpensive for anyone who can fly to/from Panama/Lisbon.

It's a Spanish cruiseline so VTG may well charge you in euro but the price on their site would already be converted to US dollars.

If you guys like that one there is another. It's a French cruiseline Croisières de France on the Zenith March 30. Dominican Republic to Spain. $265 no suppliment. Lookup Fast Deal 11434. Basically like US lines just announcements are in French first and English second. You can still get daily planners and such in English and most if not all customer service staff speak english. I hear the French line has great food but have not sailed it yet.

Not as good a deal as the transatlantic, but not bad.

Norwegian Star

7-day Norwegian Fjords (roundtrip Copenhagen)

May 1-8, 2016

inside $874

oceanview $999

balcony $1,499

(additional government fees $110.10)

Also, inside cabin booking entitled to chose one perk; oceanview or higher booking entitled to two perks (beverage package, dining package, shore excursion credit or internet time).

I put a 24 hour hold on this cruise (for 2017) and I think I'm going to book it. I don't see anything close to that for solo oceanview. Even with the airfare...if I did round trip from Seattle, my airfare might be a little cheaper, but there would be less time in Alaska. Prices are the same for 2017 as those quoted above for 2016. Thanks for the tip! Didn't expect this deal from Royal Caribbean.

I did book that Alaska cruise on RCI's Radiance of the Seas for May 26, 2017. $707 for solo oceanview was too good to pass up. Yesterday they said it was 30% off all cruises for Leap Day so I don't know if the price is the same now, but I believe that this cruise is still offering No Single Supplements. Boo yah!

I booked this today May 26th 2017. No solo supplement. Radiance OTS Seward to Vancouver.

Looks like 2016 is double again now.

In the sales brochure on goccl.com we solos are finally included again after being ignored for months. Rates and choices are not good but at least somebody at Carnival HQ may have been hearing all of us solos say "bon voyage" as we go to all the other lines offering great deals....

Pam and Mary Ann, I cruise solo and booked the May 26, 2017 Alaska cruise also. I may add a pre-cruise tour to Denali if the price is right.

Marie

Marie, Pam and Mary Ann, I also sail solo and could not pass this up.

7 nights outside cabin $901. includes port charges.. Outstanding.

Marie, let me know what you find out about a pre cruise to Denali. Has anyone started a thread yet?

Wow, we are the 4 musketeers! (Alaskateers?) [emoji6] I haven't even begun to look at shore excursions or land tours. I've only been considering whether it would be better to spend the night before the cruise in Anchorage or Seward. I understand that the bus, and especially the train between the 2 cities, passes through some of Denali with some spectacular scenery. I imagine we'll need to see if there's an official roll call yet. If anyone tried to get the deal and did not get it, I would call an RCI cruise specialist or travel agent to see if they will be offering it again. They are still advertising 30% off all cruises.

The bus and the train pass through beautiful areas but not Denali which is north of Anchorage by a good distance. I have done the bus and the train. I actually planned a week or more in the Interior starting in Fairbanks and using the train to head south with stops for a day or two at at time on my last trip. I think I had 3 days in Denali. Seward is wonderful, very scenic. I rented a bike and did a long ride there and did the Fjord cruise. After that I boarded the Radiance on the way to Vancouver. The trip was fantastic and that is why I want to go back and do some of it again. Happy planning! 😀

Adventure of the Seas has some great solo pricing from November to about February. The suites are less than a balcony!

I didn't intend to go to San Juan twice next year but I just booked a solo junior suite for around $2,000 CDN. I will also get a bonus point for being in a suite so 21 points!! :)

Hi, For any of you that are past passengers of Holland America Line, they have a good deal for inside cabins for April 9th,Veendam, 15nights,9 ports Caribbean islands. I am paying a little less than $1500.00 including port and taxes for my own inside cabin, inside quarantee. Assigned cabin would be cost more. Would quess outside cabins have good deals too. I used the web site with words cruise and compete in its title. If you have the time and the money this is a good deal. Note Veendam is a small ship-about 1350 passengers. Inside cabins are large-about 185 sq. feet, including a sofa or loveseat and coffee table. Bye for now,Kendra

Got a great deal on a balcony. It was weird - their site was showing that a Cat. BB Balcony for one passenger was less than an inside/Studio cabin! So what could I do? Booked it of course. So it was solo+lat. member+AARP gave me price of $1,220. (inc. tax, etc.). I chose the Dining (4 dinners) + Shore Excursion package (an additional $15.) for total of $1,235. Yippeeee!

Caribbean Princess 10 day cruise is under $100 a day for 10 days, inside cabin. I booked it since this moves me to Elite :D and Princess will not have any scheduled ships sailing from Houston for next 12 months or more. Ship leaves March 20, 2016. My total price was $943 tax & port charges. 5 stops~ Montego Bay, Grand Caymen, Roatan, Costa Maya, Cozumel. Maybe beter deal with travel agent, I was concerned I didn't want to miss the price since it is during spring break for many schools. Good luck finding some great trips & Happy Early Easter

I'm not going to take advantage of them, but if you can, there appear to be some great deals on upcoming eastbound transatlantic sailings.

For example, Emerald Princess's 14-night TA from Fort Lauderdale to Southampton starts at USD 749 (before fees and taxes) for solo occupancy of a guaranteed inside cabin on one site.

Also, NCL Star's 14-night TA from Tampa to Copenhagen starts at an even more jaw-dropping USD 536 (again, before fees and taxes, and it might reflect a past passenger rate), also for solo occupancy of a guaranteed inside cabin.

Happy hunting!
