Deluxe Veranda Suites and Open Dining:

1. Is the Neptune Lounge open 24 hours . . .and are snacks available late into the night if it is?

2. Do you have lunch in the Neptune Lounge upon boarding, or on the Lido deck?

3. Open Dining: is it necessary to call the extension every day between 8 and 4 to establish the time you wish to dine?

Thanks, Barb

You may walk in any time you like without a reservation. You will be seated as soon as possible. Flexibility in table size may speed the process.

Deluxe Veranda Suites and Open Dining:

1. Is the Neptune Lounge open 24 hours . . .and are snacks available late into the night if it is? No - Opens around 7 or 7:30 and closes around 8PM. Snacks are available anytime while open.

2. Do you have lunch in the Neptune Lounge upon boarding, or on the Lido deck? You will have lunch in the Lido upon boarding. The Neptune does not offer lunch, only light snacks.

3. Open Dining: is it necessary to call the extension every day between 8 and 4 to establish the time you wish to dine?

You can just show up anytime during the dining hours. I believe you can also have the Neptune Lounge Concierge arrange your dining times.

Thanks, Barb

Neptune opens thirty minutes earlier on port days than on sea days.

It is always closed by 8 P.M. unless there is a cocktail party.

If you want a late night snack and don't wish to go to the Lido late buffet, Room Service is 24/7.

Deluxe Veranda Suites and Open Dining:

1. Is the Neptune Lounge open 24 hours . . .and are snacks available late into the night if it is? On port days the Neptune Lounge opens at 7 AM and on sea days at 7:30 AM. On some ships it closes at 8 PM and on others it closes at 8:30 PM. Breakfast items like cold cereal, rolls, pastries, cheese, meat, fresh fruit, yogurt, orange juice, cranberry juice are available until 11 AM. Then tea sandwiches and cookies and candies and desserts are put out and replaced during the day until 5 PM. During this time the desserts will also change -- many times pound cake is presented around 3 PM. At 5 PM cold appetizers are put out along with crudites.

There is a great coffee machine -- regular coffee, decaf coffee, lattes, cappacinios -- all free.

2. Do you have lunch in the Neptune Lounge upon boarding, or on the Lido deck? Depending on how hungry we are depends on whether we have lunch there. If you like tea sandwiches and desserts -- then it is good. But if you are big eaters -- you need to go to the Lido. If you are on a Vista Class ship the dining room is open from Noon until 1 PM.

3. Open Dining: is it necessary to call the extension every day between 8 and 4 to establish the time you wish to dine? If there is a particular table that you like, then you should make reservations every day. They won't guarantee that you can have the same table each evening but they do try to accommondate people. Even though they tell you that you can call between 8 AM and 4 PM, they only accept dinner reservations for 5:15 - 6:15 and then again for times between around 7:30 - 9. The concierges in the Neptune Lounge can also make this call for you everyday.

Thanks, Barb

Hope this helps.

Are the items ordered by room service free?

Room service is included in your cruise fare, so in that sense you could call it "free". It is customary to give a tip to the steward who delivers your tray, but that's strictly up to you.

The only food on the ship that incurs an extra charge is lunch or dinner in the speciality restaurants.
