Ocean View Room on the Voyager

We booked an ocean view room guarantee on the Voyager. We finally got our assignment this afternoon. It is room 7502 which is at the very front, right next to the family ocean view. The seas shouldn't be too bad in January so I don't think that sea sickness will be a problem. The only thing is the room is so far away from everything. (The food I mean) Then on the other hand, the exercise will do me good. Anybody have any opinion on this room? We are getting anxious now.

I have pictures of our OV cabin on Voyager if you havent seen them, nice sized window.

We were also toward the forward elevator and ate dinner in the aft, deck 3, so yes it will be a walk every day. You can walk thru the promenade at least, which is what we usually did. Sometimes we went thru deck 4? I think that was the casino deck, just for variety.

You are much further forward than we were, so we didnt feel the motion.

If it bothers you, try this:

There are three cabins on Deck 3 available in that same category. Two are just barely aft of the forward elevators, and one is midship.

Think about which is more important to you:

Direction front to back or top to bottom.

If you want to switch, call and ask for one of these: 3552, 3252, 3618.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

:)

Don't worry too much about the location. You won't be sitting in your cabin that much--you'll be all over the ship!

Personally, I like to be on a deck closest to where I spend the majority of my time (pool!). I also like to be close to stairs/elevators, since I do tend to do alot of running back and forth to my room! That makes it easier! And those loooooong hallways in heels.....not fun, IMO!

Really, tho--if it's rough, you're going to feel it EVERYWHERE! If it's calm, then no problem!

I'm not worried about the location that much, at least it will be quiet there. Won't have much traffic going past the room. The only problem is it is a long walk to the food. I'll just go with it and see what it will be like. We were almost in the front of the Rhapsody one time while skirting a hurricane. We had 27 ft seas. My wife got pretty sick for a while. But, she isn't worried, so I guess I shouldn't be either.
