The balcony is so much nicer. I am wondering about the bunk bed in the twin room, though. They only mentioned it is a twin bedroom and a double sofa bed. Interesting??? Wondering what color glasses you were looking thru to see that balcony as being "nicer" (than what??), for even more than 2 it would be tiny, let alone up to 4-5?? As for the "bunk bed" it looks like one of the fold down only if you need it type, could probably be "Up" in wall during day so bed could be sat on etc. Didn't show the living room area tho. The two on the 8th deck are better by FAR!!! I have seen the living room... very nice. I just hope the trundle bed is a winner. The balcony on the 8th deck is awesome. flagger Posted November 20, 2008 Author #10 Share Posted November 20, 2008 My stateroom 7232, the first in the series, is the same category as 7286. My stateroom had the bed closer to the closet. The other stateroom had the sofa closer. I preferred the bed being closer as it gave more room around the balcony doors. I know that others who have sailed prefer the opposite, but it would seem that the sofa would make it even more difficult to get into the closet. But you have a comparison of what two staterooms look like in two different configurations. I am sure someone will create a list of which is which over time. RachaelW Posted November 20, 2008 #13 Share Posted November 20, 2008 Are the balconies in the CC cabins deeper? It looked like it from your photos but I was not sure if they were all like that or just the hump cabins. Where was the CC cabin that you looked at? Thanks!!! flagger Posted November 20, 2008 Author #14 Share Posted November 20, 2008 They are not deeper, but looked a bit wider though admittedly in two days I did not get a chance to compare stateroom numbers to the plans on this trip.

jagoffee Posted November 20, 2008 #16 Share Posted November 20, 2008 They are not deeper, but looked a bit wider though admittedly in two days I did not get a chance to compare stateroom numbers to the plans on this trip. Great Photos, thank you. From your pictures, it looks like the CC cabin was 1231. If this is true it is the first cabin on the turn from the hump with an angled balcony. I would suspect that it is larger than the average balcony because of the angle. Wouldn't you agree?

cybx Posted November 21, 2008 #19 Share Posted November 21, 2008 Hey Flagger, Do you remember if the bed in the in 1602, the AQ room, was near the balcony or was it near the door? Thanks!
flagger Posted November 21, 2008 Author #20 Share Posted November 21, 2008 Honestly I don't. It was a whirlwind and I mainly wanted to get in there to get a picture of the shower. There were only 8 or so staterooms open for viewing and I missed the inside accessible one.
festigal Posted November 21, 2008 #21 Share Posted November 21, 2008 Flagger's pix are great. I was on the same sailing. (I was also on the sailing on the Jewel with him ;) ) Aqua class stateroom had the bed closer to the balcony, I am pretty sure.

flagger Posted November 23, 2008 Author #24 Share Posted November 23, 2008 I am working on my review now, but some of my favourites were the glass show, the lawn club and this spot on the aft stairs between the Sunset and Oceanview bars. There is this landing on this deck that is a perfect place for a couple to watch the wake, the stars and more. Oh and the casino is pretty much a given for me on any ship. Kevin's girl Posted November 23, 2008 #25 Share Posted November 23, 2008 Flagger, great photos. Thanks for the one of the Sky Suite balcony. 2120 is right next to my cabin, so I know exactly what to expect of the overhang.
