Rare NorbertsNiece Posted December 12, 2008 #7 Share Posted December 12, 2008 Beautiful pics. All 3 actually, though I prefer the cruise ones for the warmth they exude I love looking at snow scenes so long as I don't have to go out too much in icy weather..... broke a hip a few years back on ice... We've been to Iceland a couple of weekends back..... freezing cold but awesome scenery.
want2seaitall Posted December 12, 2008 #8 Share Posted December 12, 2008 I like the snow scene. But, I guess looking at it...and living it, are 2 separate issues. :)
Dr_DNA Posted December 12, 2008 #9 Share Posted December 12, 2008 I feel your pain. Snow, ice and cold here in Iowa. At least it is sunny today. :)
HMSDingy Posted December 12, 2008 Author #10 Share Posted December 12, 2008 We landed in Montreal right in the middle of our first snowstorm. The flight out of Ft. Lauderdale was delayed and we sat on the runway upon arrival for over an hour. How's that for a welcome home??
HMSDingy Posted December 12, 2008 Author #11 Share Posted December 12, 2008 I like the snow scene. But, I guess looking at it...and living it, are 2 separate issues. :) With the windchill factor, it was -15º F!. I spent my first day back shovelling so much snow, that the glare off the ice faded my tan!!
karena1 Posted December 12, 2008 #12 Share Posted December 12, 2008 Yup, that why we left Wis and now live in Florida! I like leaving in warm weather, cruising in warm weather, and coming home to warm weather. Only snow I want to see is on a post card!:D
Toddcan Posted December 12, 2008 #13 Share Posted December 12, 2008 Between Dec 1-Dec 26, I'd take the snow scene. (I'm a Christmas fanatic!, I just love the snow). Yes, I get a lot of it here in Canada. But.. Come Jan 1, gimme the cruise :)
karena1 Posted December 12, 2008 #14 Share Posted December 12, 2008 See, I am a Christmas Fanatic too, my favorite time of the year. But.......Best Christmas for me is shorts and bare feet and 80 degrees!:p:p
mainelymaniacs Posted December 12, 2008 #15 Share Posted December 12, 2008 I know how you feel. The only thing getting me through this Maine winter is the knowledge of my cruise in Feb. I can't even get too excited about Christmas this year and I am usually the one up at 5 a.m. to open presents. Lisa

rednancy1 Posted December 13, 2008 #17 Share Posted December 13, 2008 Beautiful pix, even the snow scene. Snow is fun to look at and not live in it. That's why we moved to the desert 2+ years ago. :)

Driftwoodgal Posted December 13, 2008 #21 Share Posted December 13, 2008 If it makes you feel better Houston Texas had two inches to five inches of snow on the ground two days ago. Heah, I just booked an eleven night Jan 11,2010 cruise to Mexico out of San Diego with a NC cert. No friends are attached to the certificate you can jump on board if you want. We are booked for the same cruise for Jan 2010. We have a rollcall going. Its kinda thin right, just 4 of us so far. We'd love to have you join in! I think I saw you on another thread...didn't you say you scored the corner aft? Lucky you!!!!
BroncosFan2010 Posted December 13, 2008 #23 Share Posted December 13, 2008 Do you live in Grand Rapids, MI??? Because that is what it looks like here! 9 months out of the year!! LOL I hope Spring will have sprung when I get back from my cruise! Can't wait to leave for the Caribbean!
Darkwolfe Posted December 13, 2008 #24 Share Posted December 13, 2008 Heh, I have one cruise in less than a month and I'm already starting to work on plans for the next one after that. Ahhh.. Addictions... As for snow, my dog would never forgive me if I moved somewhere that didn't have snow. Who'd throw snowballs at him then?
Luv4dacruise Posted December 13, 2008 #25 Share Posted December 13, 2008 I feel your pain. Definitely book another immediately. Could be worse though, i woke up today to no electricity and the electric company telling me it will be "several" days before it will be restored because of the ice storm yesterday. I wish i were able to run out and book one myself.....I hate NE....:p
