stipmom Posted December 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2008 How are these cabins? Can the people in the glass elevators see into the cabins next to them? Are the balconies bigger? Thanks
suzyluvs2cruise Posted December 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2008 How are these cabins? Can the people in the glass elevators see into the cabins next to them? Are the balconies bigger? Thanks The balconies on those cabins are larger and the deck plans shown below are a good representation of their size as compared to the other balconies. People can't see into the balcony of either 8686, 8688, 8102 or 8104. Here's a side picture of the ship. The cabin on the "hump" with the light on is Deck 7 and cabin 8586 is at the end of the "hump" 1 deck above and over the right lifeboat.

ccxnola Posted December 14, 2008 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2008 YES, 8088 is FANTASTIC!! Room for a party (if you wish)!! and NO, it's a solid wall to the elevator! BTW - Due to the added size & location, it is an EXCELLENT choice for membership (or membership renewal) in the Balcony Club!! :D Laissez le bon temps roulez - Let the good times roll !! lets-cruz Posted December 14, 2008 #6 Share Posted December 14, 2008 I was just on the Jewel of the Seas in 8086. Cabin size is exactly the same as others. Balcony is great. We had two lounge chairs and 2 regular chairs. This balcony juts out further than others, so you will have a view of everyone's balcony that is forward of yours. The cabin is very close to the Centum which makes it centrally located to everything. No long walks down corridors to get to your cabin. However, if you are noise sensitive, you will hear some of the music that is played in the Centrum at night. Its not loud, and we had no problem. We did not hear any noise from elevators, or people passing back and forth.

Thanks Just off Radiance 8086 for SA cruise - the cabin is the same, but the Balcony was FANTASTIC! It's actually a bit more open than 8088 (as 8088 is closed off on both sides by a walls. We just loved our balcony!
