Where is your Royal Caribbean Cruise Director? - Through March 2009

Does anyone know who will be the CD on the Explorer at the end of August 2009? Thanks in advance for any info.

 

Just got off Explorer on Sunday and Ricardo was going on his vacation (6 weeks) and then was returning in June through early December.

Ricardo was awesome and very, very accomodating, an extremely nice person as well.

Abe Hughes was on Mariner last week as well March 22-29, but Ken Rush was also on board - as a guest? - as a temp replacement?

 

 

Ken Rush was the Cruise Director on the Mar 29-Apr 5 sailing. I do not remember any mention of Abe Hughes. It was a little unclear if Ken would be staying on the ship. All that he commented on was that he would be the CD on the Oasis.

I was told by an Adventure of the Seas employee that Ken Rush is going to kick off the Oasis and then will be replaced by Richard Spacey shortly thereafter. if you have never experienced Spacey, you are in for a treat. IMHO he is simply the best. I looked forward to the shows for his opening and closings!! He is outstanding!!

I cannot view the file, can someone tell me is Eric Dowis is still on the Voyager. We have cruised 50 times on RCCL and have had great CD's but he is our favorite. We have enjoyed having him on four cruises.

Taking a stab at the masters: Liberty - first half of Nov (Gjerstad), second half (Tiege). Both these guys have been on LB for 2 years or more so they're due to be moved to another ship this year. Grandeur - could be Hempstead, but he's been on GR for 2 years or longer and could be moved this year also.

Oasis - count it yourself! Figure the masters rotating every 10 weeks, so starting with Capt Tor ( I know, I know, Wright will be on for a month but so will Olsen who'll be actually giving orders on the bridge!) in December, count 10 weeks then Capt Thore signs on. Do this until you get to October!

Abe Hughes is the main CD on Mariner... We did the 46 night repo with him and he did a fabulous job.

 

He was due for 10 weeks of vacation when we got into LA and Ken Rush was going to replace him during that time. I heard recently that Ken had some meetings for Oasis, so he was going to be away from Mariner for a week and the back after that for the remainder of Abe's vacation. It sounded like Abe was going to come back to relieve him when he went for the meetings.

We were on the Rhapsody cruise from 2nd April until 13th April 09 and Dave Chapman was the Cruise Director. We understand that he then cruised to Hawaii with Rhapsody.

To "hellosailer" - I will not be there after dry dock. I am in Seattle waiting to pick up the Serenade of the seas Tuesday. I will be on the SR until July 18.

 

We just finished an amazing crossing. We had so many great guests sailing and over 200 people for the cruise critic party! It was the most I have ever seen.

 

Your Cruise Director will be Jill tasker and although I had never worked with her she was on the ship for the last 5 days and is a great person. You will have to say hello for me.
