Scottie Girl Posted December 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2008 Can anyone recently off the Millennium please tell me which bar allows smoking as my husband enjoys a cigarette with a drink after dinner. We know this is limited to one bar only. Thank you Scottie Girl
PSP Posted December 23, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2008 You can smoke in the Cosmos Bar, the casino bar and port side in the casino and the outdoor bars on deck 10 and 11.
kitty9 Posted December 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted December 23, 2008 You might want to check on that because the casino is supposedly totally non-smoking now. There is smoking in the Rendevous Lounge on the port side.

Thank you Scottie Girl Keep in mind Celebrity just changed their policy again a couple of days ago, so even people recently off the ships may have information that is no longer accurate. Correct and it is now on the web site and as stated is fairly new. Also, I don't remember seeing the last paragraph previously. It basically states that smoking is now forbidden on all land tours run by Celebrity. Additionally, there is a non-smoking policy on all components of the land tour portion of all Celebrity Cruises cruisetour products. We appreciate your understanding and adherence. The_Big_M Posted January 4, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 4, 2009 PSP's response was still applied for Millenium's cruise that finished today, and consistent with earlier posts saying that a degree of latitude appears to be being applied.
Rare cruisestitch Posted January 4, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 4, 2009 Having read about the inconsistent enforcement of the no smoking policy, I checked the casino several times on my recent cruise and found no smoking anywhere there. Indoor smoking on Galaxy was limited to the wintergarden area at the aft pool and the port side of the Stratosphere Lounge on deck 12. There was no smoking in the Rendezvous area on Galaxy (Dec '08 cruise)
MOYSHA Posted January 4, 2009 #8 Share Posted January 4, 2009 Just off the Millie.................in the casino the only smoking area was at the port side(i believe) entrance to the casino where there is a small area with some slots that you can smoke in. The rest of the casino with the tables is non smoking

The rest of the casino with the tables is non smoking I'm pretty sure the smoking area went along the port side, as there were smokers at both saloons on that side. The central tables area on the port also smelt of smoke at times. It was a little confusing as the only signage I saw was about being non-smoking on the starboard casino so it seemed possible that anywhere else was smoking - the boundary was hard to define and not marked. lex1517 Posted January 14, 2009 #10 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Being a smoker and just got off the Millenium. You can smoke on the left side of the Casino but not at the bar...where the slots are..take a drink over there. Left rear of Cosmos up on 11 if it's chilly. Where I was most of the time was 10 Aft right behind the Ocean Cafe..a bar there, and overlooking the Ocean and the most tables too. You can also smoke on the left of the pool deck and they are always peddling drinks there. Tip: Bloody Mary's are $2 every morning if u like them and check the bar menu as they have several drink specials every day of the week for $5, othewise drinks are pricey. Scottie Girl Posted January 14, 2009 Author #11 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Thank you to everyone for your replies. Lex1517 is the bar open in Cosmos during the day so we can have a drink if its too chilly to sit outside.
lex1517 Posted January 16, 2009 #12 Share Posted January 16, 2009 yes, Cosmos is open....there is usually something going on in there at all times...dance classes, bingo or something so they are always pushing drinks and that is where the windows are all the way around the front of the ship so a lot of ppl like to just sit there and look out. But it's the middle of summer now...just checked Sydney weather this morning and it was 93 so don't think it will be too chilly out back for you and the AFT bar is preferable in my opinion. Scottie Girl Posted January 16, 2009 Author #13 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Thank you for your reply Lex1517. Will mostly use the aft bar if weather is OK as we always enjoyed that bar on the Constellation.
