Table Selection on RCI Explorer

Do you mean asking for a table of four? You can do that, but am not sure if you can request a specific table. Is that what you are asking?

Both, table size and location. This will be our third cruise together first on RCI ,just wondering if you can select your table.Thanks.

You can make a request, but that's what it will be because RCI doesn't guarantee table assignments (except for D+ C&A as well as the Royal and other high-level suites). You'll find on the RCI forum that there are a few threads about people emailing and getting replies that their "request has been granted," but the truth is that there is no guarantee even then. That's partly because the tables are changed around almost every cruise to accomodate various pax configurations. Say, many large tables have been requested or there's a family reunion that needs seating for 40 at grouped tables or there are 400 honeymooning couples who've all requested tables for two, etc. It's also not a sure thing because there can be hundreds of pax with specific seating requests and not all can be accomodated. For example, many people want a table by the window. There are only X number of windows, so only a percentage of people will get their requested seating.

Definitely make the request. You can specify that you'd like a table just for the four of you. We have and have received what we requested. Do make sure that your reservation numbers are linked so that you are ensured dining together. You can also request a specific location (by the window; middle of the main room; upper level overlooking the main level; and so forth). After you board, go check your dining assignment. If it's not what you would prefer, then you will need to see the maitre d' to request a change. Often he or she will be able to change you to what you prefer, but not always because moving your party means displacing another party, and that can get tricky.

Hope you get exactly the table you request.

As long as your reservations are "linked', they'll seat you together. Don't fret if they seat you at a larger table with 4 others--it makes for alot of interesting conversation! You and your other couple will have ample time to yourselves throughout the cruise. Most likely, you will be alone, but if you're not, go with the flow!
