Johnny Rockets Now $4.95???

Recommended Posts

I eat at JR on land and spend 3 times the amount. $4.95 is only a buck more. It is a great deal for all you want to eat. If people don't want to pay it, they won't. I will and be very happy about it. The cost of doing business is going up daily. I pay the same for my cruise pretty much year end and year out so I don't mind paying the extra. If you pay an extra $100 on board you are still making out because a cruise on RCCL is still a great deal.

Nobody is forcing anyone to eat at JR's. If you don't agree with it, don't eat there.

I once got all bent out of shape when the cruise line put the surcharge on Johnny Rockets in the first place. It used to be included. That was then.

Now..... I go with your sentiment. I don't go on a cruise to eat at Johnny Rockets.

I agree. The suits at Royal must think we are dumber than a bag of rocks. Like the reason for not having chocolates on the pillows had nothing to do with cost--it was because of waste.

If the other cruises are like our trans-Atlantic in April when we got the BOGO for milk shakes, they have reached their goal of keeping the crowds down----they were way down, like diner full of empty down for the most part.

It would be nice if they were at least honest. RCI keeps coming up with these outrageous lies, like blaming the teens or the new coupon book would be better than ever.

But RCI never said for WHOM the new coupon books would be better than ever. Obviously, they ment from the corporate vantage point.

I first discovered Johnny Rockets in Florida and then in Calif. I think its a

cool place and far more expensive than the $3.95 or $4.95 service charge.

A burger, onion rings & fries combo, soda and dessert costs a hell of a lot

more than thar in the store.

For those of us from the 50's and 60's JR's is a cool place that reminds us

of the malt and soda shoppes we grew up with.

I like the place and whenever I would go on vacation I would pay JR's

a visit and a do so whenever I cruise. Yes, the food is high fat but how

often do I go there? Not much and only when I vacation. Despite the

service charge I will continue to go there. For those who do not like

the place, don't go!!! You have many options onboard and do not have

to go there or you do not like the food or resent the cover charge.

Interestingly enough, in NYC they opened a JR's a store 2 blocks

from me last year. I have passed it many times but have not gone in

there. I think its special (and not cheap) and I want to reserve it for

my next cruise or vacation.
