? for all you "manly men"

We are celebrating our 10th anniversary...thinking about getting the banner decorations.

So, I guess my question is-would you men think is really sweet...

We have been married 26 years and I am 50. I like Foxworthy and his logic.

"Men want a beer and want to see something naked."

For a serious response most men are happiest when their wives are happy. If the decorations would be fun for you then order them.

"If it runs on gasoline or perfume a man will never figure it out" - Me

We are celebrating our 10th anniversary on our cruise coming up and......thinking about getting the banner decorations for our room to surprise hubby. It's only $35 and I have a feeling he'll smile and nod (to make me feel good) but would maybe prefer something else.

So, I guess my question is-would you men think that was really sweet and appreciate the room full of hearts and whatnot or prefer something else?

Thanks guys for helping me out.

*I only ask the guys because I know girls (I am one) and we would all agree that it would be sweet...am I right;)

My wife and I went on our first cruise together for our tenth anniversary. We were on the Triumph, in it's first year of service. I got us the banner and they sent a cake to our stateroom. They also sent a cake to the dining room on our anniversary night and the waiters sang to us. Then I went and spent some time in the Casino as did my wife.

Yeah I would skip the decorations. Instead, take that cash and hit Victoria Secret. Buy something to wear and VERY little of it. Surprise him on the balcony with yourself and a bucket of beer or a bottle of wine. Trust me, the Balcony Club ROCKS!

You have made thousands of husbands happy by making this thread. Decorations are fine but a wife on the balcony wearing something skimpy holding a bucket of beer or wine is just a tad more appealing to us;)

You asked! Have a great cruise!

i guess i see this a little different, for birthdays and anniversaries my wife always puts some actual thought into it, like the op is doing. to just dress sexy and hop in bed doesnt really take alot of thought, and that is something that can, should, or hopefully will be done at home anyways, although, the cruise does make things special. but anyways, there's gotta be something you can get him that maybe he wouldnt buy for himself on the cruise, or plan something at one of the ports.

i dont know what kind of sense of humor your husband has, but you could make a shirt that says "hey it's my birthday, buy me a beer!" then he gets to drink for free all day. get creative.

I think what you are thinking of doing is nice. I would be impressed and happy. I would hope later in the evening there would also be fireworks supplied that ended with a big bang.;)

I just love loud fireworks.....:D

You have to be very careful though

One year for our anniversary , my wife called me and said come straight home and come in the bedroom, she was laying there with something "black and sexy."

I get home and there she was with a little nightie and silk stockings. I was dissappointed. I was thinking Beyonce , Rhianna ,Lil Kim ......:) :)

My husband votes for alcohol in the room on arrival: the High Seas Gift Set or the fruit and wine box. Or, if you really want to spend some bucks, he votes for a a couples massage in the spa.

My hubby always asks for one present, the same present...and it isn't room decorations ;). Unless....maybe you could give him that "present" under the room decorations. I'll bet he would love them then.

my hubby could care less about room decorations but he wouldn't say anything because he would think it was something I would enjoy. He definitely would enjoy "that one gift" too under the decorations. I think If I made him not dress in a suit for one of the formal nights it would be a much better anniversary gift.

I'd go with the something-and lots of it.

what they said!!!

:D:D:D

I clicked on this one to see who the manly men were who would respond ;)

Umm..as a woman, I think it's sweet but know my DH and wouldn't waste the effort..... unless (see below)

LOL...Instead of decorating the room...wrap yourself in some ribbon. It will go over better. :)

I am not a man, but I do have a guys mind. I dont think just your anniversary is an occasion to do "something else"... unless u only do it once a year and if thats the case i dont see how you are still married!!!!

my thoughts are a bottle of Crown Royale... nothing says happy anniversary better then that...naked...on a balcony...

just a girly girls opinion...

Once a year? OMG!

Note, if you decide on joining the balcony club, you might want to do it at night...unless you like attention! :D

He'll love whatever "store bought" present you give him but he'll LOVE the presents you already have with you! ;)

I hope he has something for you!
