Starting to plan a 12 day cruise and wondered which day is which. The itent says overnight in Venice, thus:

Day 1 Venice

Day 2 Venice departure 8 AM

Question, since embarkation is Sunday, Sept 13 is day 1 really Sept. 12th?

Yep, both are correct and we did a similar voyage a couple of years ago.

Rule of thumb - when you board the ship you are embarking on the voyage of your life - hopefully!

Enjoy the extra time in Venice. Do plan on just wandering around and don't worry about getting lost - it's the best way to see stuff you normally wouldn't see. It's one city we plan to go back to again as soon as possible.

The issue becomes a little tricky if one wants to check-in and "board" the ship on day 2 because the Immigration Staff and check-in personnel may not be there on day 2. If that is the intent, it is best to let know Princess ahead of time.
