RCCL FOS - Best deck for balcony room?

Hi! We have a D1 on FOS on deck 9, but are wondering if this is a good location? I initially was on deck 6 but decided I didn't want to be right over the lifeboats!:rolleyes: Now i am just unsure!:eek:

Deck 9 is great -- what section of the ship? The Aft D1 cabins have terrific balconies however if you are new to cruising then I would suggest mid-ship.

I know the lifeboats can be a nuisance but you will not even notice them from 9. Your line of sight will just adjust to the obstruction. There is still plenty to see, and from 9 you might even be able to focus on the spaces between the lifeboats. The only view you are missing is directly down and you cannot see the sides of the ship anyway.

Don't give another minutes thought to this and enjoy your cruise.

we were on FOS on deck 6 6688 and we had a beautiful view no life boats to look over, my family took up four cabins and not one of us had a life boat view.

I am on FOS in March in cabin 6606. I never thought about the life boats!! :eek: How is my view going to be? I assume I am directly above the life boats? :confused: Does anyone have a picture of their balcony with a similiar view to what I will have? I am kind of worried about this now. Any help would be great!! :(

The lifeboats are sort of "hidden"---they obstruct nothing.
