GranMona Posted January 20, 2009 #1 Posted January 20, 2009 My husband collects HRC pins. When we visited the HRC Cartagena, they were completely sold out of pins. The manager said that he would send us one and my husband gave him his address. We thought that would be the last we heard from them, but just now Fed Ex drove up and delivered a pin from them. We were quite impressed that they would do that. They were very hospitable and it was a good place to stop in for a drink and lunch to take a break from walking around the city.
dupre1 Posted January 20, 2009 #2 Posted January 20, 2009 That was very nice. I collect their shot glasses so I am hoping to stop in and buy one!
Ron Brinsdon Posted August 14, 2009 #3 Posted August 14, 2009 It's sad but I have to buy the "T" with the name on. So it will be a taxi to the Old City, a few beers at HRC, walk around and back to the ship for lunch. Each to his or her own! Have a good time all of the time Ron
BayCalif-Ariz R Us Posted September 15, 2009 #4 Posted September 15, 2009 not sad at all Ron - DH acquired quite a collection but hasn't gotten any lately. This is the first time that even I have to have the tee - I mean how  is that. Our neighborhood does a 'Cheers' kind of thing every Friday and that's a definite occasion to wear it. Everybody was very impressed when he wore his "Beer Glasses of Belgium" shirt. Belgium makes like 35 different kinds of beer and each and every one is served in a different shaped glass at many places!
Ron Brinsdon Posted September 18, 2009 #5 Posted September 18, 2009 Thanks for that, I look forward to one day getting the T from the San Francisco HRC, preferably when I am calling in before a Celebrity Alaska cruise. Last time I went to SF was in 1978 - I do not think the Cafe was open then. Have a good weekend Ron
twene Posted November 17, 2009 #6 Posted November 17, 2009 I made the mistake of starting to collect the hurrican glasses years ago. How impracticle is that? None the less, we asked Mr. Lee to arrange our tour to make certain we could stop at the HRC for my hurrican glass and some Tees... I am just sad the HRC in Panama is on the Pacific side, while we are on the Atlantic!
seaweavers Posted January 24, 2010 #7 Posted January 24, 2010 We collect them all: son collects pins, DH T-shirts and shot/hurricane glasses and I like the bears. Our next cruise will go 4-5 HRC's, bring it on! Heidi
ORCRUISER Posted February 1, 2010 #8 Posted February 1, 2010 Our son and son-in-law collect the pilsner but I think they are a bit past it so I'm not planning on going to the HRC in Cartagena.
ellbon Posted February 1, 2010 #9 Posted February 1, 2010 I jsut came home with bears. my group stopped for drinks ther while i shoppped. Lee's tours are great. i got everything i wanted..
glendon3281 Posted February 11, 2010 #10 Posted February 11, 2010 How far is the HRC from the port? I checked their website and all it says for directions is: "Situated within the walled city at “ La plaza de la Aduana “ barely 10 minutes from the airport? Can you walk from the port? If not, how much was the taxi ride? Thanks, Linda
