Just for fun...room service question

What is the best thing Carnival has to offer for room service? What do you like?

I always loved the BLT's....my favorite

Well, on the Valor I had the BLT, and liked it.

The open faced tuna sandwich... and it was good, too!

Ordered coffee every morning, and fruit plates, and cookies in the afternoon, and cake. Glorious and moist and chocolate. Mmmmm! I liked it all!

Does Carnival charge extra for room service? I need to know this because on our Disney Cruise (no extra charge) my husband ordered it EVERY night.:)

No extra charge for room service on Carnival. 24/7 room service. It is nice to tip the delivery person, though.

I tip $2-$3 bucks per order (not per dish). If large order $3 if just coffee in the morning $2.

Me too.

I have to say, the one time I tried the roast beef & brie sandwich, I didn't like it. It seemed dry and kinda tasteless to me. :( Maybe I just caught them on a bad day or something, cause I see so many people that LOVE it here.

We mostly use room service for danish and coffee in the morning. But I am thinking some of this stuff is sounding pretty yummy! Next cruise I've got to branch out and try more room service things! :D

Someone said they had a grilled cheese with bacon.......now THAT sounds excellent! They will do that for you? I've only seen grilled cheese on the menu....didn't know you could add bacon. Adding bacon to almost anything will make it better. ;)

Quick question:

Coffee from Room Service in the morning. I am the only coffee drinker BUT I like to have at least four mugs in the morning! (notice the LARGE font, I drink a pot by myself in the morning:eek: . That is all for the day however). How many MUGS does a pot from room service get me:confused:

I am already planning on stating Lots of cream and sugar. :o

Thank you in advance :D

We only tried room service once for breakfast. It was exactly on time (as if the waiter stood outside our door and counted the seconds off before knocking) but the coffee was luke warm. We spoke with a couple other passengers that day who said they had the same experience.

Since the selection for breakfast was a bit sparse, that was the last time we ordered. Each morning, I just brought a tray back to the room from the lido deck so we could enjoy it on the balcony. Coffee is always nice and hot there.

On RCL we generally book a balcony room and take a camping fold up table in the suitcase....set that up on the balcony and order room service breakfast for 7 am every day... sometimes have to order double orders because portion size can vary quite a bit...but nothing beats breakfast on the balcony...sure beats getting dressed and going to the dining room... At night, order room service desserts and drinks... can't be beat!

Also we've learned to write in different breakfast items that aren't on the provided door-hanger menu and have always received those items.

The fold-up tables are great...cost about 30 dollars I think... mine is aluminum so the weight is negligible in the suitcase and is about 3 foot x 3 foot in size when set up so it's perfect for 2...sure beats trying to balance food on those balcony cocktail tables.

I am a big coffee drinker also. I order a pot of coffee and danish as soon as my feet hit the floor in the morning. The cups they bring you with the coffee are smaller than my giant mugs at home. I let DH have 1 cup and I drink the rest. Probably 4-5 cups to a pot? I'm just guessing because I can't really remember for sure. It's enough to get me through until we can get up to Lido for a hot breakfast and MORE COFFEE.

You can always ask them to bring you 2 pots of coffee if you want. :)

We like the breakfast delivered in the Am with a Hot Cup of coffe on the balcony! I usually leave tow singles out on the counter so in the AM I can quickly grab the tip open the door give it to the Steward close the door and carry the tray to the balcony without waking DW. So one morning DW decided to get up early and return the favor on a sea day while I rested in bed. It was great! Later that day we were about to leave the cabin to go to the Casino and I asked DW, "Honey, did you see the two twenties I left on the table last night!" She immediately brought out in laughter so hard she was crying. I asked her what was soooooo funny? She said in her haste to not awaken me she handed the steward the normal $2.00 Tip for the breakfast I leave out each night! She said she thought the steward LOOKED AT HER ODDLY, THEN LOOKED AT THE BILLS SHE HANDED HIM, LOOKED BACK AT HER, LOOKED BACK AT THE BILLS, LOOKED BACK AT HER AGAIN, SMILED LARGELY AND LEFT! We both then started laughing and said I bet they are knocking each other down to see who brings breakfast tomorrow!!!!!
