C'mon, people! Go find the existing threads about the drink cards and leave this one to the review! You're asking general Carnival questions that have been addressed already in their own threads. Go find them! ;)

OP: Well, you didn't do any of the excursions we're doing (Cosol in St Lucia; Glory tours in Barbados, Gordon in Antigua and Thenford Grey in St Kitts).

But it's nice to read about your port visits, anyway. I haven't been to any of the ports except St Thomas, and I just have to see the islands. I can't go all that way and just go to a beach, even though I know I'll be very tired by the end of the cruise. Booked two days at the Marriott Stellaris for post-cruise relaxation (although I know me; I'll want to go back into OSJ and wander around some more).

Thanks for the info about being able to buy wine at the pier. I had no idea. Like I said, all I remember was the usual alcohol, partly thanks to the samples they so kindly provide. :p

For sure, I won't be watching any movies if those are the time slots. I'll probably be napping at 6, will get up and get ready for late dinner, will go to the casino, then go to bed, I'll be so tired. No midnight movies for me.

Thanks for the review. Can't wait until it's my turn!

Looks like SOMEONE really needs to go on a cruise to get rid of the pissy attitude... Geez....like it HURT anything/anyone to ask!

Thanks for the great review of the Silvermoon. We will also be on her in May. Sounds like a great day!

NCTribeFan,

Sometimes you can't find answers even though you do a search. It was a question she wanted information about, so what's the harm? I had never heard about the DOD cards either so why would I do a search when I can ask the person who posted and actually doesn't mind answering our questions!

Kim, would you have pictures of the Falls in Dominica?

Thanks for this extra nice review;)

Yes I have pictures. If you would please email me privately I'd be happy to send them. I don't have much luck trying to upload the pics here.

It's my understanding that you'll see the same thing with Cosol's tour. He also gets good reviews so you should have a great day. Cosol was our second choice if we couldn't get in with Reyno.

We had an excursion booked for Antigua originally but then cancelled because we didn't want to overdo it. I do not regret that decision at all. I was about island toured out and excursioned out by the time we got to Antigua. Part of Antigua's charm IS their beaches so I didn't consider it a "just for the beach" day. It was the destination that we wanted. Next time I go to Antigua I'll choose another beach. It was hard to pick, believe me.

Each to their own, I know, but I don't care how convenient the times were for movies. For me, I didn't come on a cruise to watch a movie, under the stars or elsewhere. Too many other things to do that I don't get to do at home.

That's the great thing about cruises. There are so many choices about activities and excursions that we can all make it our own experience so that we all enjoy it. I'd always choose a cruise over a land based vacation for just that reason.

advanced search

keyword: "drink card"

select thread titles only

select Carnival board only

Results: 27 threads in 0.20 seconds.

Most recent was yesterday.

Yep, that's tough to do, I know. :p

There's a notice at the top of the board about hijacking threads, which is what the off-topic questions are.

Sorry to say that I've now gone off-topic by having to respond.

I'm just tired of trying to read reviews of the ship and itinerary that I have coming up soon, and having to wade through so many posts that are NOT specific to that particular ship, ports, or itinerary.

I've moderated discussion boards, so it's just a natural tendency of mine.

My apologies to the OP. No apologies to the others. ;)

What a great review! I have been waiting for the Dec. 2010 (Christmas week) dates to open for this cruise, as I am itching to do the Southern Itinerary again. (did it when Destiny had Aruba as a port) I keep checking every day - this review makes me want to check every minute!

I'm sure you'll love this cruise. I thought the itinerary was the best! It made the cruise feel like it was longer than a week with all the activities that we did. Sometimes if there's only 3 ports or so it feels like it goes so fast. This was perfect and when it came time to go home we weren't elated to go, but we felt "ready".
