Is there time to shop in Ketchikan?

We are in Ketchikan from 7am- 3pm, however we booked the Bering Sea crab tour, that goes from 10:30 am-2:00 pm. Will there be anything open really early to do some shopping? Every other cruise I have been on asks that you be on board at least 45 minutes before leave time. :confused:

I have had several visits to Ketchikan at early hours of the morning (6:00 am). I can't say that I was off the ship at six, but I was off by 7:00 and the shops near the pier and on Creek Street were already open.

 

Have fun shopping in Ketchikan! It's my favorite port to shop in and everything is easy to get to.

You will have many shopping options before your tour. IF you choose to get an early start? You will have to get ready to meet for your tour around 10am.
