spencercoop Posted April 2, 2009 #26 Share Posted April 2, 2009 Carnival, with 89 ships and earnings of $2.3 billion last year, has a big lead on Royal's total of 38 ships and $573.7 million in profit. It seems to me Carnival is 4x more Carnival made $25,842,696.60 per ship and Royal Caribbean made $15,097.368.4. So Carnival is making 10,745,328.20 more per ship! mapsmith Posted April 2, 2009 #27 Share Posted April 2, 2009 can you imagine disembarkation with 5k ppl onboard. it will have to take forever to clear customs. NO Thanks.... In January we were in Costa Maya on the Miracle. While sitting on shore we watched the big RCCL ship come in (not sure which one but it holds 4200 passengers) As they were disembarking and walking down the pier, it was like watching Hannibal crossing the Alps. The people just kept coming . . . and coming . . . and coming. Jeez, how slow must it be getting back on board. Imagine the "ding", "ding", "ding" for 4200 times. the security guys must be insane after that for 2 hours.
Slimpickins Posted April 2, 2009 #28 Share Posted April 2, 2009 I can only imagine what all the "new" and "extra" stuff is gonna cost you? I imagine that the "premium fees" for most of their stuff on the ship is gonna be expensive.
